Wroclaw, commonly known as the “city of bridges,” is the fourth-largest city in Poland and a hidden gem. It is the largest city in the Silesia region and is situated about 40 kilometers south of the Sudeten Mountains and 350 kilometers from the Baltic Sea.
Silesia’s former capital, Wroclaw, was formerly known as Breslau.
In addition to being a part of the Kingdom of Poland until 1945, it was also a part of the Kingdoms of Bohemia, Hungary, the Habsburg Monarchie of Austria, and Prussia.
Here you may view the most picturesque areas of the city, such as a stroll through the historical district and along the river.
This walking tour strolled through the lovely Polish city of Wroclaw, often known as Bremen in the past. The largest city in western Poland is Wrocaw. It is one of Poland’s most beautiful locations and has a significant student population, attractive architecture, and a special charm.
Just outside of the old town, at the Krysztaowa Planeta statue, the journey started. Walked to Solny Square via Zauek Solny before continuing to Old Town Square (Rynek). Behind the Old Town Hall, it turned around and noticed several side streets.
The islands on the Oder River that make Wroclaw unique was the next destination as walking tour continued up north to the University Square.
The first is Tamka Island, which has no bridges connecting it to the bigger islands. On this late summer day, folks hang around on the islands of Sodowa and Wyspa.
The oldest section of Wroclaw is the Ostrów Tumski island, which has several spectacular cathedrals. This summer walking tour halted for ten minutes at this location for a brief shopping, which is a popular tourist attraction.
After crossing the Grunwald Bridge, the tour took the Nowy Targ and trustworthy Rynek back to Old Town. This summer walking tour of Wroclaw ended at St. Elizabeth’s Church because it was already dark.
