Interrail in the BALKANS! This week I am traveling through Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria and I was in for a surprise!
Sofia surprised me in so many ways. Not only did I meet people I didn’t expect to see again, I had some lovely time to recharge, explore the city and even it’s surrounding.

In Summer 2022, I had the chance to do an interrail through the east and southern part of Europe. On my way to my final destination, destiny decided to bring me to Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. On my way there I spent several hours in a small train station as the connections for Interrail are not the best in the region. But even more adventurous. Enjoy the ride! 🏃♀️
