While we were adventuring in Finland, Russia invaded the Ukraine. We left the next week and settled in dreamy Tallinn Estonia for a week of planning and organizing. We had planned to do a massive tour of Eastern Europe for 2022, but those plans quickly changed as we felt we needed to head into Ukraine and do what we could. We found a company that was already on the ground, and decided to retrain in crisis response through their online system and join the next wave of responders in Poland, the next week. So….most of our time in Tallinn was spent studying and testing, arranging, buying gear, and preparing ourselves for life in Ukraine for the next couple of months. We want to thank to beautiful people of Tallinn for providing a comforting and peaceful place for us to do so, and we will be revisiting your gorgeous city more in depth as soon as we have time back in Europe! We loved what we saw and can’t wait to return to your happy smiles, lovely flower markets, and hearty meals! Tallinn is one of the most romantic, charming, and completely adorable cities we have ever laid eyes on. It was quirky, perfectly walkable, had a gorgeous surrounding landscape, lovely architecture, interesting history, fabulous restaurants, and friendly locals…and that’s about all you can ask for as a visitor!
