Vietjet Air Flight from Delhi to Da Nang (Vietnam):

-Keep travel dates on Tuesdays for cheapest flight tickets

-Vietjet Eco flights are the cheapest and round trip costs around Rs 16,000. But remember only one hand bag is allowed and it should be under 7 kg. If your hand bag is more than 7 kg then you will have to pay extra and then check in the bag as well. Your hand bag weight will be checked at Delhi airport check-in counters.

– Carry your own food and water bottle. Everything is chargeable and only one glass of water is free with the Eco flight ticket. You can buy food, water, beer on flight using USD or Vietnamese Dong only.

-Leg space in Vietjet Air flights is very less considering the average Indian male or female. You may want to get an extra leg space seat by paying Rs 1,000 more at the check-in counter.

-Flight timings and gates tend to change. So, always keep track of it. Always check the exact timing one day before the journey.

Vietnam Visa for India:

-Indians can travel with e-Visa. The process is very simple.

-The official website for Vietnam VIsa is https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/web/guest/trang-chu-ttdt

-Always get e-visa from official website only as there are many fake websites that charges more money.

-For e-visa, you need a scan copy of your passport front and back pages along with a digital copy of passport size photo.

-Make sure your Visa validity is well within the actual travel dates

-Apply for visa at least 2-3 weeks before travel.

-To enter Da Nang, you need to mention in the visa that the port of entry will be Da Nang. You cannot enter Vietnam if your Visa has another Port of Entry than the one you are landing at.

-For e-Visa, you are NOT required to pay the Visa stamping fee. This stamping fee is only for Visa on Arrival and not for e-visa.

-Immigration is very easy. You need to carry the printout of the e-Visa letter that you get. Ensure the QR code is visible. At the immigration, just show your e-Visa letter and passport to the officer to enter. Don’t forget to download the e-visa letter from the official website after 6 days of applying for visa.

Vietnam currency

-Rs 100= 30,000 VND. It’s highly advisable that you carry Indian Rupees and convert to Vietnamese Dong at the Da Nang airport itself. In India, the currency exchange rates are not high compared to Vietnam. Carry US $100 or US $50 and Rs 5000 worth of Vietnam Dong for emergencies. You can use any VISA card at an ATM to withdraw money.

-It is highly advisable that you buy a local SIM card with unlimited 4G data and minimum 30 mins calling at the Da Nang airport itself. This will make life easy as you can easily book cabs, bike taxis, order food, etc by using Grab. The Grab app is like the Uber/Swiggy equivalent in Vietnam.

-Carry a mobile handset with a physical SIM card slot as e-SIM is not that reliable in Vietnam.
