Have you ever passed by a massive intimidating looking mountain and wondered “Can I climb that?!”
Well, that happens to us all the time, and one recent winter trip to Palm Springs we noticed Indio Mountain from town and couldn’t resist finding a way to get to the top.
As it turns out, Indio Mountain IS climbable, but there’s no easy hike to the peak. It’s a 100% off trail climb and scramble through boulder fields and loose rock-filled gullies to top. But the epic views into the Coachella Valley and all the way across to San Jacinto and San Gorgonio make it completely worth it. Plus, who doesn’t love a good winter hike in the desert!
