On Tuesday 6 December 2022, Air Greenland will be handed over its latest investment, an A330-800 named Tuukkaq (Harpoon Head).
As a prelude to Tuukkaq taking off on its maiden flight from Airbus’ factory in Toulouse, France to Kangerlussuaq on Wednesday 7 December 2022, Air Greenland has produced four short films that explore the full creation process – from the consideration of investing in an aircraft in 2019 to it landing and being ready for the scheduled flight on 19 December 2022 between Kangerlussuaq and Copenhagen.

In this video we see how the Tuukkaq, which has been assembled at the Airbus factory, is painted, what its registration code will be and how many people can ride on it. We get into why the aircraft is sustainable and why it is future-proof in terms of fuel choice.
