As we come to the end of our first year of early retirement adventures, we have brought together our favourite 12 places that we have visited this year in our VW campervan. Join us as we revisit camping spots from across the UK and France, and deliberate which locations deserve the top spot for 2022. It was a hard choice to make from our 127 nights away in the van, but we think that we have made the right ones.

We are Richard and Jackie and we live in the UK. We have chosen to early retire from teaching during the summer of 2022 at the age of 51. Our plans for early requirement include relocating to the Yorkshire Dales, developing our forever home and travel the UK, Europe and eventually the world in our VW campervan Nelson.
