When in Berlin in December, stop by one of the Christmas landmarks known as Gendarmenmarkt. We dropped by one evening, and we felt the commercialism of Christmas. Haha! Kidding aside, it was a great place to shop or hang out with your friends and family this time of the year. Sit-down restaurants and stalls that dish out Western staples, drinks, and desserts abound.
