Have you ever heard of Transalpina before? Some people consider it the most beautiful pass in Romania.
It’s also one of the highest roads in the country, being ideal for road trip enthusiasts. If you want to drive on one of the most beautiful mountain passes in Eastern Europe, this is your place to go! You can admire breathtaking views all the time while driving on Transalpina road.
Just be aware that it’s open only from around May to September because of snow.
I couldn’t choose between Transalpina and Transfagarasan, but what’s for sure is that they’re both incredible.
