Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre – Mt Cook, the tallest mountain in New Zealand, helped Sir Edmund Hillary to fine tune his climbing skills to summit Mt. Everest. The museum is a tribute to Sir Edmund Hillary, and it showcases the Aoraki/Mount Cook’s colourful Transport, Climbing and Hermitage history.
Planetarium – 360 degree digital dome planetarium gives comfortable exploration of the night sky. Star formations and navigation using starts were explained by very knowledgeable guide.
Hooker Valley Walk – It is one of the best day hikes in New Zealand. The track leads up the Hooker Valley and along the Hooker River with amazing views of Aoraki/Mount Cook. Its a total 10km walk with picturesque landscape.
