Hi travellers,
This video shows all the lands and the majority of rides at Shanghai Disneyland when I went for Christmas. Typically I would say stay away from weekends, but being in winter it was not a bad choice at all.

Rug up and go ahead in winter. There are lower crowds and therefore the queue times were a maximum of 15 minutes and mostly just walk on, like you see with Peter Pan. It was a pretty great experience, except for the huge queues to actually enter the park. It could be worth considering staying at an on property hotel to be able to enter early and thru Disneytown.

I bought my ticket through the disney app and just brought along my passport. Be sure to bring your battery pack as the signage is a bit poor and in winter there is a lot of shops/food outlets closed so there is nothing much to do while walking in between the rides. Also you will use the app to see approximate ride times, plus other show times.

If you book 10 days in advance and on a weekday is the cheapest ticket price. It is fairly cheap day pass for Disney.

I am less keen to queue up for photos with characters as they can be long and the princesses do change out, so who you lined up for may not be who you meet when you get to the front of the line. You can get a great character photo without joining the queue.

This particular year there was not much Christmas fanfare, the tree, the parade. But remember Christmas is not a Chinese holiday.
