Join us on our travels! About this episode:
We had never visited Poland and when we saw really cheap flights to Krakow just before Christmas we decided that we just had to go and spend some time with our three youngest! As we reach Krakow airport (quite late in the evening) we jump in a taxi to the hotel ready for some exploring the next day.
On the first day Louise and I jump on a free walking tour of old town Krakow and WOW…what a tour. If you are considering taking a free tour do not hesitate, they are amazing and you just tip at the end. We head to a Milk Bar prior to our evening Jewish Quarter tour, once again another free walking tour. Quick Pierigo tasting before bed 😋.
The next day we all go to have a tour around Auschwitz, the images speak for themselves, however, we would encourage anyone thinking of doing this tour to do it if in the area. It is an important part of our history and it is done with the upmost of respect to those that lost their lives.
We pay a visit to the Salt Mines which are just amazing (huge!), a quick bite to eat in a restaurant in the Salt Mines with a cheeky Cherry Liquor just to warm our insides 😉. We wrap up our visit to the beautiful city of Krakow and we head back to the UK.
