In this video we fly from Mexico to Guatemala City, then Uber to the beautiful Spanish colonial town of Antigua, Guatemala. This city is a tourist hub for the region, and for good reason! The beautiful views, great restaurants, nearby volcanoes, and good tourism infrastructure made our 5 days in Antigua so enjoyable! In this video we hike Cerro De La Cruz, go to the local market, and go on a chicken bus / walking tour to nearby San Juan Del Obispo. Our story:
We are Dave and Kelsey from the US. We saved up money, credit card points, and airline miles for three years to afford one year of backpacking the world. We’re currently in Antigua, Guatemala! We have plans in 2023 to backpack England, France, Spain, Morocco, Turkey, Egypt, then who knows where next?! We travel on a reasonable budget and consider ourselves decent travel hackers.
