  1. Thanks for showing us the cool Egyptian Rail. You are so brave that you travelled to this country on your own. I heard it is not safe for solo tourists. Would be nice if you can show us places you visited in Aswan as well.

  2. Thats one interesting journey and as for that bed id be worried about falling off in the middle of the night, and i could never sleep in long pants it would have to be undies for me lol

  3. Hey Rory!
It feels nice having a break from the usual Australian trains and into the less-known Middle-Eastern transport.
    I have a question:
What software do you use for the map animation graphics?
And just thank you and please do not stop ^^

  4. There are new trains in Egypt, such as the Talgo train, which Egypt recently purchased, and the Egyptian government is currently working on developing railways and means of transportation in general.

  5. Mate you can't polish a dog turd and call it luxurious. What i saw was typically Egyptian, a filthy dirty train with crap service you took a risk eating that meal did you get cholera or typhus? My only trip on Egyptian rail was truly memorable i was greeted by a human turd that had been laid in the vestibule, i got an ele tric shock when i went to charge my phone and the trip went downhill from there. It goot a lot worse but you get the picture!!!

  6. I did that route in 2004, the toilets were absolutely filthy, iirc it was around 12 hours. I did like that you were allowed to stand between carriages to smoke, it was weird because they had ashtrays at the seats, but intercity buses had no ashtrays and you could smoke in the seats and just throw your butt's in the aisle😂

  7. What awful trains!! dirty without security. Egypt is a beautiful country, politics works like their old train irons, without rights and without any loyalty.

  8. We took a trip to Egypt in September 2022 and this "luxury" train was included in the trip. It was pretty bad. The toilet was disgusting, the room was paltry. Everything was low end. I imagine countries that actually have top end trains would be astonished at how bad this thing is. On the way back, we flew. That was MUCH better. If your trip has this train included try and have it removed. It's awful. PLUS you are traveling at night so you don't get to see the countryside and the Club was filled with the works smoking so it was not very inviting. AWFUL.

  9. We just did this trip in April. The train was dirty, broken windows, and very nasty bathrooms. You can’t really get any sleep because the tracks are not smooth and the train is constantly shaking and vibrating. The only thing acceptable was the food. The tickets was expensive; better take a plane, quicker and cheaper. The Egyptian government is building a high speed train between Cairo and Luxor. That might become a much better experience.
