in this episode I take a walk around Harare central and then go looking for the infamous “Mermaids Pools”
I then end up in the Eastern Highlands and try and conquer my biggest fear.
My eyes welled up when I saw the footage of Mermaids Pool. What it was then, and what it is now. It brought back some fond memories. Thank you for your authenticity, and telling the story like it is. No ulterior motives. Respect!ππ½ππ½
Great video Bruce as usual. You challenge me to go and explore more of Zimbabwe. I am so happy that you have dispelled some of the myths that social media will make you believe about Harare too.
Well done Bruce, absolutely spectacular, no need to be embarrassed with your fear of heights, I was as well, then became a Paratrooper. Brilliant episode. Keep this up. I'm now inspired to visit Zimbabwe.
πππ Hopefully you get inspiration from your wife and daughter's for the zipline next time the adventure leads you that side of the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe.
Oh Bruce thank you. Itβs true as you say in the video. Those of us from zim have fond memories about little things like the icecream sellers, or the old milk and bread deliveries in the mornings. Those were the days.
Thanks again Bruce for more spectacular views of Zimbabwe. I loved the Eastern Highlands when we used to visit as kids. It was there for the first time that I saw ice on the windscreen of the car in the morning. Beautiful country and wonderful people.
Hello Bruce , I am a 64 yo women who grew up in Harare but left in 1981. I live in beautiful Canada but my heart will always belong in Zim. Thankyou for your videos, they mean a lot.
Thank you Bruce I'm missing home so much always looking forward to your videos though this time episode 2 came late.Harare is the safest place you can be don't worry about being robbed.
Your new mission is forget mermaids pool operating again! how good would that be π so many jobs too, just waiting to be developed again Zim is truly my fave country!
Such a great video Bruce, keep them coming! So wonderful to see Harare and wonderful you're able to visit where you grew up. Thanks for sharing where you go, I cannot wait to explore Zimbabwe.
Thank you Bruce for a wonderful trip down memory lane, even though it is many years since I was last there. I can so relate to your fear of heights….. I wouldn't even have set foot on that bridge. Well done for even trying. Keep on Chasing Smiles. π
Gosh Bruce, I sympathize. I am too absolutely terrified of heights. It is something that has evolved over time. I think my nervous system is ageing and cannot cope any more. I actually got high anxiety just by watching the video!π« Please stay on Terra firma from now on if you want me as a viewer!π
Thanks for upload. I'm watching here in Botswana. Zimbabwe is such a beautiful country. Have you ever been to Victoria falls and do you have any episode of it?
Oh man, this channel is a gem. I'm glad to have come across it and kudos to attempting the bridge walk. I've had issues with heights and struggle to go up high-rise buildings. Triggered my nostalgia. Loved seeing the community and, above all, the civility. Hope something does happen with that pool resort before the vegetation overwhelms it to a point of no return.
Oh. I am trying to watch as many ads as I possibly can on this channel and I encourage everyone to watch at least 3 ads. Bruce is doing great for our country Zim and for Africa. He needs all the help we can give him.
Wow Bruce, my heart was in my mouth when you were on the 'Sky Bridge', I had to stop and have a break! Wonderful pics of downtown Harare and Mermaid's Pool. Well done β€β€
