Overlanding BOTSWANA Wild encounters in the Nxai Pans National Park & the Tuli Wilderness Reserve. This is an Adventure you have to do.

Botswana is adventure, for any overlanding enthusiast, and one place I find myself coming back to over and over again, is the Nxai Pans area, where we explore the South Camp area, and the spiritual place that is Baines Baobabs.

Overlanding in Botswana, and adventure traveling in the month of February to the Nxai Pan area is HOT, and I can’t emphasis enough, that, this area is the furnace of Botswana, on account of the white reflective ancient Makgadikgadi lake bed sands. But, ol Ed and I pack up and make this 18 day adventure one to remember.

We visit, South Camp, Nxai Pans and make camp at campsite number 8, we make a stop at campsite number 2 at the infamous Baines Baobabs, and finally, we make it to the Mohave campsite in the Tuli Wilderness Reserve, Botswana’s best kept secret.

What an offroad adventure expedition, and a big shout out to the @EpicAfrica and both Stewart and Julie from the Tuli wilderness Reserve.

This adventure supported by Lacie, Indeflate, and Cross Country Insurance from the financial consultants Netsure.

Thank you to:
My mate Ed for helping out with shots and filming. What a trip legend.

  3. Yet another awesome episode Ryan. Your 2.2 Ranger looks fantastic, where everyone else plays it safe with Toyota's…. Rangers lead the way ๐Ÿ˜€, your truck stands head and shoulders above the rest. Looking forward to the next episode boet.

  4. Top line production. The best yet! Enormous amount of work went into shooting and editing this video. Your passion for Botswana is reflected in every clip.

  5. Another great video Ryan. You and Ed make a great team and present great content. Maybe you need to move the batteries inside the air conditioned cab or divert a pipe from cab to battery case. Whatever you do don't charge lithium below 0 deg otherwise you will do irreparable damage.

  6. Ryan, I always anticipate your videos! Worth waiting for indeed
Your footage, commentary and zest for life are so thoroughly entertaining. Hurry up though for more episodes.. Come on win the lotto and do one every day ๐Ÿ˜‚

  7. Good day. Thanks for bringing the wild to us through your episode. I'm watching here in Botswana at Serowe. I really enjoyed and that heat did not have mercy on you๐Ÿ˜…. I once saw you in one of your videos I can't remember which one with one gentleman who offers 4×4 training…… Is it a long course or even if I can visit my brother that side for 2 weeks I can enroll or if you have any info about it…….cheers

  8. Excellent stuff as per usual, is Edd doing a video as well, he usually follows yours? How come it's so hot , in Zambia the suicide heat month is November, not Feb?l

  9. Great production ๐Ÿ‘Œ Been to Nxai many but never been to the Tuli. Do you mind sharing their contacts! Looks like an absolute jewel of a place.. โค๏ธโค๏ธ

  10. What an incredible and epic adventure to Botswana again… Always love your passion for this magical place. Maybe you Chris and Ed must plan more trips with Epic Africa… That would be awesome

  11. My favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon — outside in the sunshine watching one of your EPIC adventures!

My man, you surpassed yourself with this one! The game! Secretary bird in trees (which I'd never seen before), brown hyenas, leaves on the baobabs — just spectacular!

Watching you & Ed traipse through Botswana is truly a pleasure. I'm always fascinated by the challenges you manage to overcome while essentially just "winging it."

Like you, I'm not a huge fan of organized safari trips, but Tuli was beautiful & the bonus of the archeological sites was intriguing. I just appreciate the independence & laid back atmosphere of overlanding on your own (with mates, of course).

Btw, you did a great job with the music on this trip.

I KNOW Namibia, Part II is on your patreon site, so I'm eagerly looking forward to the opportunity to watch.

Keep making these amazing journeys you allow us to accompany you on — the MAGIC you see jumps off the screen to us as well. Thanks!

  12. Wife and I got the camp site right next to the ablution at South Camp last September, parked between the trees because the elephants were walking on either side of the site for 2 days straight – a dream.
