From the high mountains, to the sunny beaches, Albania is a country that has it all. In this video we showcase some of Europe’s hidden treasures as we head into Saranda, Ksamil, Gjirokaster, and Berat, in the south of Albania. From the Illyrians, Romans, Byzantines, and Ottomans, Albania has a long and tumultuous history, not everyone is well aware of. We talk about it from the medieval days, all the way up to its recent communist days.

  1. Greek minority in Ksamil??? Ksamil had no residents 20 years ago lmfaooo. Didn't hear Greek once when I visited. Saranda sure but in Saranda there are so many foreign tourists good luck pointing out the few local Greeks. Also Gjirokastra has almost 0 Greeks. The Greeks live in nearby villages and the Albanian villagers outnumber them anyway. Let's wait for this years census. 10k Greeks in Albania max and they're all retirement age folk. People gotta stop talking as if Greeks form a sizeable minority in Albania, it's misinformation, they don't.

  2. Man, what a Chad move to hide the Jews in WW2, and everyone was in on it, Christians, Muslims and even the government. Why are you damaging my hatred for humans like that?

  3. Albanians on the Kosovo-Serbia-E.U. Agreement about Serb North Kosovo.
    <No, it s a lie. You are delutional ! >

    Albanians about foreigners visiting South Albania/North Epirus presenting all greek there.
    < No. You are all delutional ! >

    Albanians about Edi Rama and Mitsotakis visiting North Epirus ethnic greek minority status.
    <No, you are delutional.>
    😊😊

  4. Damn it, every time you call South Slavs poor, and every time I check GDP per capita – all of them are like twice as rich at the very least. I'm Ukrainian, BTW

  5. Skender Beg was a Serb, related to Serbian nobility, therefore the political impact he had, and modern Albanians have nothing in common with illyrians. Nobody mentiont Albania before the lWW. Don't participate in this rewriting of history. Do your own research and see for yourself. Couture, language and tradition have nothing to do with the illyrians.

  6. This video is both very nice and very funny.
    Especially:
    ● That bit about the castle princess
    ● Showing Tifa when mentioning the Italians at 10:54
    It is nice to know that her contributions to Italian politics hasn't been forgotten.

    Thank you for making it. ❤

  7. Hearing you describe Albania in such a beautiful manner was heartwarming. It's ironic hearing an outsider speaking like this about our country yet we immigrants speak about it like it's a shithole. Glad you enjoyed it. Hope to watch more videos of yours!

  8. Just 0.5% of “Greek” in Albania are called “minority” but 80% Albanian descendent in grecce from 1700 aren’t a minority !
    In my opinion 0.5% of Greek in all Albania it’s like saying 1000 Chinese people in Milan. 😅😅😂

  9. I was in Albania last winter.Stayed in a small hotel. Only guests were me and some US marines from Bondsteel. I was treated REALLY well. much better than the marines. 😀
