In the timeline of Romanian history, the exhibition on “Treasures of Romania” highlights a rich array of glamorous cultural heritage of Romania, showcasing the country’s history from the pre-historical period to the end of the 18th century. The exhibition features 445 pieces (sets) of exhibits, including stoneware, ceramics, gold and silver ware, glass ware, wooden ware, mural paintings, manuscripts and textiles. The exhibits, coming in diverse types and categories, embody a long history of a wide geography.

The exhibition unfolds around the three themes of “Birth of Romanian Civilization”, “Prelude to the Birth of Romanian Nation” and “Romanian Civilization at the Crossroads of the East and the West”, giving a panoramic view of the splendid achievements of the Romanian nation which range from it pre-historical civilization to early modern culture, and from the cultural heritage of Carpathian Mountains and Transylvania Plateau to that of Tisza and Moldova Plains. A comprehensive exhibition of cultural artifacts, it represents a grand tour of Romania in China and Asia at large.
