Our final day on the island of Langkawi takes us to our first Bazaar Ramadan in Malaysia. A highly recommended visit by our viewers, this market did no disappoint with its sounds and smells. Along the way, we also visited the amazing Jeff who runs WOOFF Dog Sanctuary and met his 147 rescue dogs.

  1. The buah melaka (also called onde-onde – pronounce: on day on day) is best eaten as a whole and let the juicy palm sugar explodes in your mouth. My favourite kuih, they are!

  2. Malaysia looks to be one of the strangest and yet most modern Muslim country and Ramadan food looks similar to what you expect to be in Muslim world…But I think Indian Ramadan food should beat Malaysian one any day ;). Kudos to adam and yaz for this amazing vlog.

  3. You guys got me @ litters picking. Salute! As they were scattered in line, must be washed up to the shore. Those food are good esp my fav "Buah Melaka" (mochi-like with palm sugar). Have a good stay in 🇲🇾

  4. Is that a pop-up or regular market do you reckon? What area/street was it on? Looking fwd to market when I go, I’ve seen other videos that show a thurs night cenang market

  5. the trash came from the sea during high tide and left on the beach.. so it has to be cleaned everytime during low tide… what can we do? human does throw trash into the sea….

  6. General tips on how to eat food in Malaysia:

    1. if you see lime, squeeze it onto your food

    2. if you see sambal (chili paste), take little by little in each scoop

    3. most of the time you'll be given fork & spoon or chopstick & spoon, no knife.. sorry

    4. sugar in drinks & dessert are always at the bottom. mix them first before drink

    5. whenever you are wondering how to eat, mix everything!

  7. Sister you must come our Bangladesh.Every foreigner said we have great hospitality. so both of you come our country and enjoy a lot ❤️🇧🇩

  8. The only way to eat the onde-onde (buah melaka) is to put the whole ball in your mouth, then bite down (with your mouth closed), the ball will explode in your mouth and if you’re lucky, you’ll get bits of the palm sugar (gula melaka) that has re-crystallised, so you get kind of like a crunchy texture going on 😆

The thing about the soy milk is that #1 it’s not as processed as the boxed version, so it’s fresh, nutty and will only last a day if not chilled, and #2 it really depends on the quality of the soy bean used. It’s a hit and miss kinda thing. Most times you get really well made smooth ones, but unfortunately you do get the occasional mehhh versions 😅

Byw, the empanadas you ate is called karipap (curry puffs). Usually comes with potato filling, sardine filling and chicken filling.

  9. Yes look at these plastic rubbish u see what we use:) and if you think u put trash in the bin u sorted, but as u see it just goes to the ocean:) so I think we should focus what we are using, how we use, and how much we need and do we actually need :)) every little drop counts.. and it’s just the beginning, wait for another 50years and it’s just getting faster.. we will live on our pollution:) all good we are making it for ourselves
