I was at an expensive Japanese restaurant in NYC. A White couple was sitting next to my table. While the guy enjoyed his meal, I can tell that his blond girlfriend was not enjoying the raw fish.
I’m West African so the foods in the videos don’t look strange to me. A lot of it actually looks delicious. I would love to try Dim Sum. I’m not eating bull testicles though.
Have to explain things to non Asians and even other Asians regarding what ingredients and comparing to what western item if there is one. Not so much chicken feet but the textures of mochi like dumpling skins, certain innards and even roast duck.
I got no fork spoons or knives, 3 yrs been going there because of we chat I got played, good food but looking for authentic Chinese food, and no harassment from Jehovas, fake Buddhist ,they are Jehovas, fd'd my food up, I hate Jehovas,I can cook very well also,,,,,,they did, on purpose, some of my best Friends are Chinese, why????
I would say kill Jehovas.
Get them,Bros.
I go to China town from now on.
"You have the luxury of being disgusted by food." That's an interesting way to frame it, but it's true. Food is so abundant now that we can pick and choose what we want instead of having to eat what we find out of necessity to survive.
From new orleans get the same questions. We eat gator, oysters, fish heads, squirrel, coon and a host of other dishes people make fun of.😂
Dude I can't even get my white friends to like boba.. like I think I have a 1/10 record of getting my friends to try bubble tea and only 1 being like yeah this is okay.. mostly they're grossed out by the tapioca pearls and never try it again 🙁
First time eating chicken feet I didn’t understand how to eat them. It was hard to enjoy anything about it. Now I enjoy it after eating it so many times. I had to see people eat and realize how delicious it was. The food that I have never been able to stomach is fermented tofu. I don’t mind miso, but something about the little cubes of fermented tofu is unappealing with rice or anything.
In China, many foreigners were turned off by sea cucumber when we were served it at formal events. It seemed okay to me. I didn’t love it, but I appreciated it as a banquet food. If people like okra in gumbo, I can’t see why they wouldn’t eat sea cucumber. It was supposed to enhance beauty, so like other foods, why not? I don’t think it helped me, though. 😉
I also enjoy pigs feet especially in the natural aspic or gelatin. I recall being turned off by the idea of goat feet, but then I just realized that pigs feet and pork hocks are much the same. (I had heard about goat hooves were someone’s favorite street food in Mumbai, but I’ve never been to India and don’t have very many opportunities to eat authentic Indian food).
(White married to Chinese, lived in China only 1 year but that was before marriage)
I'm watching it while studying English, and it's fun~^^
Lol and Ali was in New York… you'd think they'd know better in such a big city (though it is interesting having stayed in Jersey to see brothas at a Chinese takeout spot asking for fried rice and fried chicken… with fries on the side). Wonder if I had to change my definition of what's Chinese food after that experience.
Andrew who’s your barber in Seattle?
Is this just an American thing? The average non-Asian Aussie loves dim sum and pho and Thai food, etc, etc
I always go out with my Asian friends and I’m always looking to try new things. But, the last time they made me try duck feet and I almost puked.
Dude said he won't eat out women 😭
I’m only part asian but I enjoy eating Korean food and when I take my friends (all non-Asian) and family to eat Korean food all they do is ask questions. I can understand this or relate. Whenever I eat a new food I want to enjoy it. I don’t ask questions like “what’s this? What’s this?” It is a bit annoying that people ask what the food is. My response has been to tell them to “just try it.” Don’t ask just eat
I agree with this and I'm Puerto Rican. The only way I will take anyone out to dim sum or authentic food from any culture is if they read the menu first and get all their questions out of the way before we actually get to the restaurant. My #1 rule is to be polite. If they embarrass me I will never eat out with them again. Life is too short to have bad company when eating.
My best friend tripped out on the spoon lol
This has happened. Sometimes I took a non asian friend to eat asian food or even bringing it too. They wouldn't eat it because of being picky. That is very annoying.
i draw the line at stinky tofu hotpot
I like your redneck American accents.
Loving the guest appearances! More of this!
I have to say beef chow fun with black bean sauce and honey glazed walnut shrimp. Sam Woo bbq in Cerritos California. I miss it so much! Yes, I’m white. Lucky to have Asian friends who introduced me to the real deal.
that unborn egg or whatever you call it, you can also find that in China
I’ve had a Korean friend be like that with dim sum.
Have you heard about hb 1355 of Florida? It singles out people of Chinese origin, legitimating racism under the guise of patriotism, we are rocking the boat this time. No Chinese exclusion act.
Now I want some! Dim sum looks so good!
I just simply don't eat Asian food outside with non-Asians, only with my Asian friends. Less hassle & less ignorance to deal with. Some people don't deserve the great variety and deliciousness that all 40-something Asian countries' cuisines have to offer.
Hot dogs is disgusting as well. Then why the fk they’re not talk about.
BUT SEEING REAL FRESH MEAT FROM ASIAN DISH THEN FEEL DISGUSTING!! What a ridiculous bullshit logic!!
Why Asian can eat Western foods, but Western cant eat Asian foods?? They over react is crazy mental ignorant!!
It’s just rice, noodle, meat, fish, chicken or shrimps, fish, with alots of veggies & greens & HERB.
They act they never eat meat or never eat veggies before!!
