We visited Canterbury and stayed at the Park & Ride in New Dover Road, it’s a motorhome aire you can stay at with services for just £4 per 24 hours, including the free bus ticket, so we made the most of it while we waited for Mandys vans windscreen to be repaired before we head off to France.

This comment is mainly for John……I know you’re interested in tech and I just watched the latest video on Max and Occy channel. Max has just had very new flat and flexible solar panels fitted on the van which you can walk on and it’s apparently very efficient.

Hi J & M. Why not park your vans with the “whizz-bang” doors facing each other? If not too close side-by-side, you’d be able to put one awning partially out to sit under together.
Whatever you pair get up to, together and separately, is always interesting and inciteful, being able to elaborate on what you do, using all three channels, is fine by me.

Been to Dover road Canterbury P&R many times great place brilliant to visit the city and cheap to stay with bus ride to the city couldnt ask for more and what a beautiful city it is.nice to see you both smileing have a fantastic time

The best friend of one of my uncles, nicknamed Moggy, rode the Tour de France for six years as a domestique in the bad old days when the team doctors would give morphine for pain. He ended up as an addict but still loved the sport. In the late 80’s he told me he no longer had a bike but a jersey from every team he’d been in folded up in a drawer. He died from an overdose a few years later. It’s a pity the anti-doping “witch-hunts” didn’t start earlier.
For anyone who hasn’t seen one : pro-cycling stage races are incredible to watch. A smaller tour, such as the Tour of Britain, would have something like this : Police bikes first to do rolling road blocks, then car loads of officials, the leading cyclists with some support cars, the rest of the peloton, more team cars, and an ambulance and car breakdown/recovery at the back just in case. At around 30mph on the flat it’s 20-30 minutes for them all to go past. The Grand Tours take that formula and turn it up to eleven.

Mandy Before I mention it, Nothing assured here as yet but I'm struggling with Employment and may have to look at Self Employment but I've Never Never experienced Self Employment before. Don't even know where to start and I certainly wouldn't put my faith within our Local Job Centres around us back home here in Manchester from recent experiences. it's been really very difficult and awful for me. I've started my You-Tube Channel where I wondered if It could perhaps support me along side a driving career as a Class-C HGV driver . I be happy with Part time hrs separately for Driving & You-Tube to hopefully regain some happiness back within my life again because I am so unsettled at the moment. I hope you not mind me asking and putting this forward to you this way because I've no way of understanding how to contact you or John another than at an event which financially/sadly I'm not able to attend this year up to now, but I just thought I'd asked because If I don't ask then nothing known perhaps nothing gained. Really useful and good info good to hear there is a difference between a full time van lifer or a part timer
I hope most of us out here realised you both needed a bit of space each, and the only way to do that sensibly in van life is separate vans. In a house you could still both live in the house and not kill each other because there more room to live, but in a van that would be impossible. But as Mandy nearly said, best ffffff…best thing you ever did!
Yes you had a couple of hiccups while building your van John, like the window and electrics, but as the saying goes “to do it nice, you do it twice” Can’t wait for the continued travels, and epic videos. Take care.
