WWII and the Western Front Europe Trip in July 2022. Our first 2 1/2 days were spent in England. After an overnight flight we landed and began touring. We saw Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and other places. The second day we had a guided bus tour across the city in the morning and then went to Buckingham Palace for the changing of the guard. For lunch we had the quintessential British fish and chips followed by some free time that I spent taking photos in Trafalgar Square. In the afternoon we visited the Churchill War Rooms and saw where the British ran their war from the safety of under the Treasury Building. Afterwards we visited the fantastic British Imperial War Museum, a must see visit if in London. Museums in London are for the most part, free! We then said goodbye to London and headed to Portsmouth. There we explored a fort built by King Henry VIII, yes the one with all the wives. We then boarded a massive Ferry and crossed the English Channel, like so many brave American, British, and Canadian troops. On the over 6 hour ferry ride I taught the guys how to play my favorite card game, Spades. We arrived at sunset and by the time we reached the hotel I was exhausted. Next stop Normandy Beaches of D-Day! I hope you enjoy following along on my travels and learn something in the process. Please subscribe to my channel for more travel videos. Thanks! @eftours
