Kuang Si Waterfalls
How to get there:
– just grab a tuktuk off the side of the road and ask the driver to stay with you for the duration of your time at the falls
– we paid 400k kip round trip

Price: you will pay 25 000 kip to enter the area where the waterfalls are located
After getting your ticket, you will take a shuttle to the entrance of the waterfalls, you’ll see little markets where you can grab a snack or do some shopping if you’d like to
There is a rule stating you cannot wear bikinis and men can’t be shirtless but we noticed that no one follows this
You’ll have a couple trails to choose from, follow the one that leads to the falls 🙂
You’ll see some bears along the way; these have been rescued from poachers
Once you reach the waterfalls, you will be stunned! The water is so clear and the falls themselves are mesmerizing
You can choose to take a hike to the top of the waterfalls but be warned; this is NOT easy, it’s quite slippery and without proper footwear, you might risk an injury. It’s also at a pretty steep incline and takes (what feels like) FOREVER
At the top, there are stunning views, an optional boat ride, and a swing in the water
Once you come down, be sure to take a dip in the water!
We figured 3 hours is enough time for the waterfalls
If you’d like to visit the nearby Butterfly park, it will cost you some extra money but the apple pie is SO WORTH IT; it was absolutely delicious
