  1. My favourite building in NYC. It gets posted a lot, but it brings a smile to my face every time.

How can you not like a bit of art deco design on a building? Beats functional boxes any day.
Edit – and so much of its detail will never been seen once it was built.

It’s so cool to see all the details. You see so many motifs on the buildings. The lightning bolts on GE and the cars on the Chrysler building. It’s just so cool. It made buildings unique to their owners.

  4. I loved this building. I’m from NYC and if you walk by it you can completely miss it. And the reason why is because NYC has such amazing architecture, and the proof is the Chrysler right behind it

  5. There appears to be a fella enjoying a drink overlooking the city in the top right window… just as things should be in a building like this

  6. Any chance anyone knows where to find a 3D model of the building (skp, 3ds, etc)? Would be amazing for closer inspection

This used to be my view from my office across the street. Never got old!

I love this building. I’ll post one of my photos soon. The fact she is down the block from St. Bartholew’s is just sublime.

  9. They need to start making skyscrapers like this over the glass ones you tend to see in CBD areas

  10. it may sound extremely weird and offensive but for a second I thought that it was an AI generated art
