South of France: Collioure

Nestled between the Pyrenees Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea is the town of Collioure, and you don’t know what a scenic gem really is until you have seen Collioure, delightful, amazing, charming… Collioure. I am sure you are going to fall in love with it!
Let’s start with the setting – First choice location, between the sea… and the mountains…
Collioure has everything – Let’s start with its imposing 500 year old fort watching over it.
The downtown is lovely – All you have to do there is to stroll and dilly-dally all day,… stop and have a refreshment,… a bite… It’s the good life, the joie de vivre as we say in France!
The beach is right there, part of downtown. Families and tourists can enjoy the sun and the warm sand.
Small-scale, elegant, ocean-view resorts offering delicious nouvelle cuisine…
Just South of Collioure is Port Vendres, yet another French town by the sea… busy yet so peaceful…
And on the foothills, the vineyards. No land is wasted, there! Well, it is the perfect location to grow grapes — lots of sun, and rather protected.
