  1. As a Fil-Am guy with 100% Filipino parents, I have passed as both Chinese and Spanish. Mostly the former to the point where I had been spoken to in Cantonese or Mandarin by native speakers until they notice I spoke English.

  2. The FULL name of lumpia is 'Lumpia SHANGHAI', indicating exactly where it came from. The other type of lumpia is 'Lumpiang Sariwa' which just means (garden) FRESH lumpia.

  3. Never in my life would i expect dobie high school to be mentioned in a fungbros video. Victor ain't lying, dobie high school has like 30-40% asian or something lol. The entire tennis team was like 99.9% viet. I didn't play. My brother did.

  4. I first fell in love with both culture more on the traditional side but I now get drawn by the energy they have that I, Japanese, don't feel from my own hermitage. Shout out to the HotPot Boys do these Asians funny side.

  5. I have heard of a noodles product called "pancit/pansit Canton." Cantonese Filipino noodles… I like the (Jufran brand of) Banana Ketchup. I tried Lumpia with Pork and Vegetables. a dessert variation would be Banana Lumpia. Philippines Mangoes, in a package, are so good. Thailand's Mango Sticky Rice dessert is also good too, complete with coconut milk and bits of peanuts on the side.

  6. I'm Filipino, born and raised in the Philippines and I got mistaken for a Mexican by fellow Filipino who was born and raised in the US.

  7. Garlic rice is for at home, it's the easiest you could make yesterday's left over rice to taste good. It's literally just garlic + yesterday's rice + maybe a lil bit of butter.

  8. Filipinos are afraid of ghosts? HA! I'm 45yo Pinoy…I still run up the stairs after I turn off all the lights downstairs! I tend to have my imagination run wild in the dark.

  9. Filipinos called it lumpiang shanghai meaning lumpia from shanghai. I don't know why we called lumpiang shanghai because there is no lumpiang shanghai in shanghai.

  10. I'm Filipino, my Vietnamese buddy is pushy. He always say, let's go man, are you scared? He likes to make bets on sports and we always lose.

  11. noooooo the garlic rice is sinangag its left over rice we make that shit every morning if we have left over rice. its not a resto thing.

  12. Banana ketchup was first produced in the Philippines during World War IIdue to a wartime shortage of tomatoes but a comparatively high production of bananas.

  13. LOL😆. I was brought up as a Roman Catholic with a side of Buddhism.
