GIo, you're one of the 5 or so vloggers that I watch and you're opinions/points of view are always appreciated. For myself, I am bit by bit setting up for my move in roughly 18 months. Last time I was in the PI was in the 80's when I was Navy and now retired. I was under the impression that expats could not work in the PI… has that changed or what are the restrictions or requirements? I might look into something to keep busy. Thank you again for your work on the channel.
I'm in "Countdown" to retirement… 4 years to go, researching different areas of the Philippines, finding cities that check all my boxes. There are things about my job that I will miss… But, I won't miss the hate of both Political Parties for each other.
Very glad everything is working out for you. I had no stress in Mexico either and the Philippines has even less. The Europeans think that Americans are work-a-holics. 35 hour work weeks and long holidays. Take care Gio.

What is happening in the USA today is what happened to the Philippines for 30 years (1986-2016). The Liberal Party and the Media wrestled power from an effective, conservative president (Ferdinand Marcos, Sr.), portrayed him as a dictator, so they can monopolize the country and its people, politically and economically, for the next 3 decades. The Filipino people finally realized that they have been duped by the Liberal Party and the Media and voted for a conservative president in 2016 (Rodrigo Duterte); life for the country started to take a positive direction from that point forward, and continued with his successors (Marcos, Jr. and his daughter Sarah Duterte, as president and vice-president, respectively). In a sense, the USA will be in for a long-haul of experiencing similar hardships that the Philippines went through for 3 decades; we can only hope it doesn't last that long for the sake of the American people, who have no options to leave and become expats in other countries while the "Hate Culture" takes control of their society.
Im watching an American late night show on filipino tv right now in a manilla hotel. Every time someone said gay or gay people it was bleeped out by removing the audio and blurring the lips. Kinda hateful
100% the hate, the violence, the corruption is the reason I left.
