The West Highland Way is a Scottish Great Trail that runs for 96 miles for Milngavie to Fort William through the highlands. It is a popular hike with a great array of amenities and accommodation options en-route, and yet at the same time it offers an immersive experience that is not to be missed.

I have walked the route three times, twice solo. On this journey I share not only my own narrative as I wild camped the route, but also the story of those I met along the way.
