      Ghaznavi attacked India several times killed innocents and destroyed Somnath temple 17 times and looted tons of treasure but see now condition of Gazni and Places of India where he attacked how prosperous that place is and how miserable is Ghazni.

      Sultan Mahmood Ghaznavid didn't loot any treasure of Somnath. Rather he broke the great idol of Somnath which was made of Gold. The idol used to suspend in air due to magnetic field in the walls of temple. It was a common myth in the Hindu clergy that the idol of Somnath will defeat its attacker on its own.
      Hazrat Sultan Mehmood Ghaznavid (R.A) broke the idol into pieces with the power of his faith. Refusing to accept hefty bribes offered by the worshippers of Somnath temple. His famous wordings are: "I don't want to be remembered in the history as idol seller (Butt farosh), instead as idol smasher (Butt shikan)".
