  1. Based on viewing this seems like a great deal more a bit more legroom, and it should definitely be a bit more upscale, I think airlines like to use Covid as a crutch to fein and mask simple cost cutting. It is not just airlines, Covid has become a very handy and useful crutch to cover up service deficits.

  2. when premium select debuted the meals were much MUCH better. main course (business class quality), salad, charcuterie & warm desert served on ceramic plates with metal cutlery. after covid you just get what coach gets, which has also been covid reduced. there was also a dedicated flight attendant.

i have had the same Thai green curry several times returning to North America.

  3. Complete waste of money! We traveled from AMS to DTW this week. I found It was very uncomfortable and confining as the middle console between seats is stationary. We were told the service and seating would be like domestic FC. It was not. I was much more comfortable on our next flight DTW to LAS in Comfort. Very disappointed with Delta and how they advertise this class of service

  4. Sky priority is definitely worth it given the current circumstances with airport congestion rather be in a line for 2 hours than 4. Also dedicated overhead storage compartment and your allowed more weight. It cost us 450 more, definitely worth it.

  5. I using airmiles to fly my mother over from the UK to ATL in a few weeks and picked Premium Select just to give her a bit more leg room and overall space… she wouldn't appreciate Delta One anyway and would probably say I wasted my money/miles… sure it is no longer what it should or used to be. I few 1st class ATL to Aruba last November on Delta and the food was a burger bun with ham and cheese in it… certainly was not worth the cost but it was airline credit anyway…

  6. I have a flight to London scheduled next month in Premium Select, and I was watching reviews to figure out how comfortable the seats are for sleeping. You didn't include anything about that.

  7. Doors To Auto – My name is Chris and I have flown over 5 Million Miles, 3.2 Million on Delta (to 64 countries and all 50 US states, so I have a few miles "under my belt"… ) I don't like to "encroach" on someone's YouTube site but, under the circumstances (and with the question you are posing here), I feel I owe this point to your subscribers and/or anyone considering flying in – and paying additionally for – Delta's Premium Select cabin seating – IF THE AIRCRAFT THEY ARE BOOKING THEIR FLIGHT ON IS AN AIRBUS 330 or 350… I am making this distinction because I have not flown Delta Premium Select on a 767-400… HERE IS THE PROBLEM WITH PREMIUM SELECT seating on an Airbus 330 or 350… THERE IS ACTUALLY 30% LESS LEGROOM in Premium Select than in Comfort+ or even the Main cabin… In Premium Select the available leg room space – under the seat in front of you – is 1090 cubic cm… In Comfort+ and Main Cabin that available leg room space under the seat in front of you is 1680 cubic cm. The way the seat backs are configured in an Airbus 330/350, if you are 6'0" or taller you cannot get your legs completely under the seat in front of you without your shin hitting the bottom of the seatback in front of you. The dimensions for this leg room area on an Airbus are 14" x 13" x 6"… (Basically the opening for your legs is only 6" high) In Comfort+ those dimensions are 14" x 12" x 10" (!!!!!!!)… I work in the media and when I sent a correspondence to Delta (and Mr Bastian) asking them why Delta was deceiving prospective customers by promoting "MORE Legroom"
in Premium Select I received an E Mail response within two days APOLOGIZING to me and – and I quote – "we at Delta want to THANK YOU for pointing out this 'discrepancy'" – what a lame word, this isn't a 'discrepancy' this is a 'deception' – and they apologized to me and shortly after my E Mail I noticed that Delta removed the marketing phrase "more legroom" and replaced it with "more space" with their Delta Premium Select promotional information… The simple truth is that it is against the law (FTC) to advertise that you
are selling 12 oz steaks on the menu and then when a customer orders an uncooked steak, finds that it only weighs 8 oz – that calling that situation a "discrepancy" is "disappointing"… I, of course, intend to save this apology E mail and admission from Delta that their "more legroom" marketing was a "misstatement" (I've
also saved copies of Delta's initial "more legroom" marketing copy which was displayed on their website) as I just don't believe that Delta should be able to just excuse what they were doing (deceiving customers) for over nine months by apologizing that their marketing department failed to examine the dimensions for their Premium Select cabin seating (which are clearly listed on Delta's website)… Had I not brought this "error" to Delta's attention they probably would still be pitching something that is demonstrably and factually untrue. Sorry this is so longwinded but now your subscribers know about this leg room "issue" on Delta's Airbus Premium Select cabin seats (yes, there IS more seat pitch, but NO, there is NOT "more legroom")…

  8. Pretty disappointing. I'm Delta Gold Medallion so I've flown several times in PS…it's just a larger seat. Like others have mentioned, they used to have an elevated meal and drink service but that's long gone. I flew Premium Economy on United EWR-LAX last month and was pleasantly surprised. Received almost the exact same meals/service as Polaris. Delta needs to step it up if they want to remain competitive with Premium Select. I'm flying PS JFK-Venice in August and sort of regretting paying for it. Hopefully if enough Medallions complain, they'll bring back elevated service.

  9. I have only ever flown Southwest, so anything looks like a major upgrade to me… do all of those amenities come free in Premium Economy (re: noise canceling headphones, the plug-in headphones, eye mask, blanket, etc.)? I assume I leave all of those things on the plane when we land; right?

  10. I took premium select on my trip from Atlanta to Athens. It was nice but I wouldn’t spend that kind of money again for the upgrade. Comfort was just as well on the return trip.

  11. For a premium economy, you'd think there's silverware and dinnerware but instead it's wooden cutlery and the service seemed to be the same as economy. I think it's not worth it. I was considering Delta, glad I booked AA premium economy instead. I saw great reviews on AA's PE.

  12. i’m glad i watched this. i was thinking of upgrading and i’m not going to! the meal service for this type of money is appalling. i’ll stick with delta comfort and bring my own food.

  13. Interesting as the Premium Select is much nicer on the new Delta A350 planes. They are built for that particular craft and also was given silverware and real dishes with my meals. My flight was from ATL (Atlanta) to CDG (Paris) to LJU (Ljubljana) and back. The unique part for me with Sky Priority was that I was able access the lounges In Paris and Ljubljana but not in Atlanta. All of the food options were not available back in May 2022 because because of supply chain issues. I paid about $450 also for Premium Select over Comfort +. Good to know how it is on the older equipment.

  14. I fly Delta all the time in the US. I'm a Diamond member. The premium economy cabin is called "Comfort+" for domestic flights. It's alright for a flight up to 6 hours, but is brutal beyond that.

  15. At last! A true window seat. The 767-400er is quite rare. Only two airlines operate the type. Legroom looked at excellent….but at great cost.$$$ I like the narration instead of the endless subtitles on many vids on Y-Tube. Thanks again for another pleasant flight review.

  16. Paid double the economy price for Delta Premium Select last month from Detroit to Munich. I had high expectations based on another overseas trip a couple of years ago (2019) in Premium Economy on LOT Polish Airlines, which was very nice and was elevated in several ways. On Delta, I got nothing more than a slightly larger seat and a small bag of toiletries. They show you a printed menu but it's the exact same choices as regular economy. The hot towel service was like a hot paper towel. They need to step it up.

  17. I agree. By the looks of it Premium Select is not worth the money. But if you can upgrade with miles it would be worth it. That is what i am doing since we have 1 hr connection in AMS i figure use the miles to upgrade so we get Sky Priority and can get off the plane faster. If we had a 2 hr connection i would have stayed in main cabin.

  18. "Value for money?" I agree with you. Absolutely not. I have a Delta Seattle-Incheon flight coming up soon and booked Comfort+ for the additional legroom (at least 34") When booked two months ago, upgrading to Premium Select was $400. It's now two weeks until departure and that upgrade is now $990. So, what does one get for that? A wider seat, maybe even more legroom (maybe!), but nothing else. Comfort+ includes Priority Boarding, the same meals, the same charges for check-thru luggage (unless on International where two check-thru bags are allowed), the same meals. One's spending a LOT of money to gain 2 or 3" of seat width!

  19. Delta Premium and First Class need serious upgrades. Flew Comfort Plus from Seattle to San Diego and tried getting First Class but was sold out. Went for Comfort Plus which is ok. Boy am I glad I did not pay for First Class. The plane was from the 60’s when it came to technology both in First and Comfort seats. Still had credit card readers on screens. Most did not work the entire flight. The flight crew did their best but the company made it hard on them. So Delta has a long ways to go in passenger comforts in my opinion. Thanks for video

  20. I'm quite happy to fly economy with Delta. The food is pretty good and they generally take me where I'm supposed to go. One exception, though, on November 9th of last year I was supposed to land in Orlando, but ended up in Tampa. Not a big deal for me, but some fellow passengers AND the flight crew weren't too happy about it 🙂

  21. I keep checking these upgrades for my long international flights but unless I’m able to lay down it’s not worth it. Getting a extra snack and boarding early is not worth $1000. 😢😂

  22. I was thinking of flying to Rome on Delta premium select but after watching this I think its worth paying $120 to fly United. They still seem to offer better meals in their premium cabin. Thanks for making the video!

  23. Based on the comments and this video, I’m still going to book with Delta but choose a Virgin operated flight. They do things much better.

  24. I paid an international flight with premium select, it is not like this at all! And the seat cannot lay flat at all! It’s just like a little better than comfort plus.
