Kristen and I flew to Tokyo, Japan, then Singapore so I could give a motivational talk and mentor some virtual production students on the use of Unreal Engine with Epic Games. Japan was originally just a quick layover but we decided to leave the states a bit early so we could spend a little more time in Tokyo and we’re so glad we did.

  1. One phrase I've kept in my head is (roughly) Nihon Go Ha Hanasemasen. Which apparently means "I cannot speak Japanese" which I figured would come in handy if my pale as hell freckly skin isn't enough of a giveaway.

  2. always happy seeing another vlog from you two! I already wanted to go to Japan and this just makes me want to go even more. I believe part of why its so quiet is that they have slower speed limits with smaller vehicles that leads to a lot lower road noise. plus with the kei vehicles class having a limit on how much power they make

  3. I’ve always wanted to visit Japan someday! I’ve heard about so many cool places to go and merchandise to buy! There’s one small problem for me… I’m a VERY picky eater. Sure, there’s still a big difference between Disney World’s Epcot version of the Japanese snacks at the shop and in the real Japan, but I still feel really bad for my super-picky eater traits.

  4. I could swear you had went to Japan and even learned a few sentences on the flight, was that Korea? God it's been so long, great to see you uploading!

  5. Great vlog Corey, as everyone else here we love seeing your personality in a format like this, so thanks a lot for making and uploading it (even if you only did it for yourself lol) about the cold things at the convenient store, you can ask at the counter to warm it up for you, they got microwaves there as people often eat those things there or on the go so you don’t need to warm it up at home 😉😉

  6. Thank you for showing us Tokyo! My husband and I (also living in Tulsa) were just talking about going on a trip to Japan a couple of days ago!
Also, Singapore is lovely! I recommend having a boba tea- best in the world! 😊

  7. What a great vlog and lovely to see Kristen! Japan looks so cool. They do seem really respectful and traditional and everything looks ascetically pleasing.

  8. Oh my goodness! So glad y’all are vlogging this. Missed you and kristen so much!! Aaand it’s an hour long?! !!!!!!!!! And, it’s a place I’ve never been but always wanted to visit. Awesome!!!!!!! Thank you!!!

  9. Hey Cory glad to see you’re vlogging! I’ve also just come back from a 10 day trip to Japan. I loved it so much I’ve applied to a working holiday visa and will hopefully be there all of next year 😊 there’s so much to do and explore that it’s impossible to do in a lifetime

  10. Thanks for giving me something to watch. Iv just started the vlog. Always wanted to go to Japan and do some cultrual stuff. Maybe one day

  11. Personally, I've heard that Japanese people are quiet in public out of respect for others. They're just more considerate, but peaceful works! Lol. Definitely preferable to loudmouths and yelling. That was awesome to watch. Very peaceful indeed haha

  12. God this is making me miss Japan so much!! Planning my trip back for next year and I can’t wait. Also for the convenience stores, they have microwaves and hot water dispensers in the shops, so if you but any hot food or ramen they will offer to heat it up for you or you can bring it home and heat it yourself!
