  2. As a Jutlander I have always found Copenhagen very easy to get around in. A couple of kilometres on foot is no problem, and it will get you to all the great places. But I have heard native copenhagernes whine about going just 500 metres. You guys are privileged. Guess how far I had to bike for the best club around?

  3. Hi guys, nice review! There is a ‘card’ for tourists that only gives access to Museums? I saw some chineese tourists on the Metro who had got it wrong and thought it was an ‘everything ticket’, not sure of the name of that one. Please visit Frederiksberg! It is a great place too! 🙂

  4. I like to add. U are allowed to bring ur bike on the trains, which is super flexible. On S-trains it is free, on other trains like Metro and Regional u need pay about half a ticket price i think. Fine for beeing caught without valid card/ticket are huge, I think over 50 euros for bike and 100 for human. The S-trains are recognizable, they are all red, so first train u used was strictly speaking a Regional. And of course u can get to Refshale Øen from CPH airport by public transportation in less than half an hour, if using a more direct route.

  5. Loved this video, guys!
    because it's so true!
I prefer Kbh on foot, but that's just me 😉
    hello from Hundested 🌸

  6. Please remember that the busses don't take euros.
I have seen very disappointed tourist trying to pay with euros on the bus – only to get kicked out.

  7. As a resident (and transport nerd) of Copenhagen, i know a lot about the public transport. Here's 3 facts that i often get the "u wot" in british train people i know:

The Ansaldo Breda (Now Hitatchi Rail Italy) Driverless Metro trains, were first introduced in here in Copenhagen in 2002. Since then, they've made the same model for other cities, such as Milano in Italy and soon, Toronto in Canada. Currently, we have generation 1 running on M1 and M2, Generation 5 on M3 and M4, and Generation 6 on M1 and M2. (The latter entered service last year)

The Train you rode from the Airport to Ørestad station, is the Øresundståg, the last train built of the Flexliner family, originaly invented by DSB Design Architects in the 1980s.

Within this design, is the IC3 DMU and the IR4 EMU. The two can couple into one consist, making DSB the ONLY train operator in the world to have Diesel trains and Electric trains coupled in one consist on a daily basis, and has done so for over 20 years!

Just a few of many facts i know about our unique public transport system

  8. So much compressed information to the benefit of us Danes who never dared venturing into the complex public transportation system. I never knew the busses had color codes and I wonder why no one informs us.

  9. One of the advantages of living in Copenhagen is that you don't need a car to get around. You can get from A to B in no time by bus/train/boat. Cars are quite expensive here in Copenhagen compared to the US and sometimes costs as much as renting a place. I live in the Copenhagen area and have never owned a car and don't plan to own one.

  10. It is worth mentioning that with Donkey Bike you have to park in certain areas, otherwise you risk getting an extra "relocating" charge of 35 DKK or $5 from the company.

  11. And when coming in to land in the airport, you may see – the roof of Terminal 3 is shaped like a childrens paper flyer! And to the other side is still architect, Wilhelm Lauridsen original and preserved airport building, which was rolled intact across the landing area during night, to its present position, as it is a "protected building"! I think it is still used for official arrivals of major guests, like the Chinese President.

  12. The M4 line wasn’t open yet when I was there. Looks like it is a good addition. Although I didn’t have any trouble getting around using public transit, I was a bit puzzled about why the M1 and M2 seemed to follow basically the same route.

  13. A great video. As a bit of a public transport nerd, I was geeking out all over the place at these great transit options. Sadly, I live in a very car-dependent city, so thanks for sharing the highlights of your adopted town. Plus the bucket of beer!

  14. Good morning from GREECE we will come at the end of August for ten days and we are interested in renting an electric bike for all the days, do you know which one is more economical from which company?? we want to come back as much as we can such a video would be interesting thank you for your nice videos❤

  15. Great video. You could have mentioned that although it is possible to bus a tricket cash on the bus, it Will cost you a lot more than the discounted card options.
