WHY ON EARTH would people travel THIS WAY! All of this in LESS than a WEEK! (West coat of France)
This week we are travelling the west coast of France in our self built campervan. We start off with a bit of van life in the city as we stay in La Rochelle, from there we find a cracking free park up to wild camp at the beach, before heading over to the island of Ile d’oleron.
You may be more familiar with Ile de re, but this lesser visited island is definitely worth a look. It’s only 19 miles long but has a lot to see, from long white sandy surf beaches to extremely pretty old fishing towns, we’d definitely recommend a visit, and with campsites this cheap, why not?!
Come along with us on this van life adventure, as we show you what its like living in a van at the beach! Attempting to van life on this west coast is going well so far but, as we travel down the coast finding places to sleep will certainly become harder, and battling the heat may become tricky for us travelling in a van with a dog and a cat.
Its certainly hot living in our van already, and with a heat wave on the way… will we cope?
