Videos from South Africa Daily Update, today, 28 May 2023. It shows the weather across the country and all the activities in the last few days. Huge portions of the Eastern Cape were issued a yellow level 1 and yellow level 2 warnings by the South African Weather Service for severe storms and huge hail on May 28, 2023. These warnings were sent continuously from that day’s midday until 11 that night. On Sunday night and Monday morning, there were advisories for rough seas and high winds between Saldanha Bay and Plettenberg Bay.
Except for the south, the mornings in Gauteng were gloomy and cold with fog patches, and the afternoons were partly cloudy. It was partially cloudy in the northeast of Mpumalanga, but generally, it was lovely and cool to warm. Cloudy with morning fog patches in central Limpopo; generally, fine and cold to warm. Morning fog patches in the east gave way to cloudy skies and a mild to warm day with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the west. Partially cloudy and cool to mild with isolated showers and thundershowers except in the extreme east, but widespread in the west, characterised the weather in Free State on Tuesday.
The weather in Northern Cape ranged from clear and cool to warm, but chilly in spots, to partly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms to the east and northeast, respectively. It was partly cloudy and cool in Western Cape, with light rain in the afternoon in the south and southwest. The western portion of the Eastern Cape started out well, but as clouds rolled in from the interior, temperatures rose, and the chance of rain increased. The sky clouded up later that night. Partially cloudy and cool to warm, with occasional showers and thundershowers over the central regions, characterised the eastern half of the Eastern Cape on this day.
