  1. Power bills can be lowered by the PEA providing the correct voltage i.e. 220vac. My supply drops to below 200 vac so the current goes up and that is what you pay for. Mainly due to incorrect transformers and small cables causing voltage drop.

  2. I don't drink much anymore but taking my wife and children for the weekend to a nice hotel for my birthday, guess ill be stocking up the fridge tonight so i can enjoy cold beer's by the pool

  3. Climate deniers deserve to be mocked. Fun fact: Facebook groups are not a reliable source of information, unless you're a conspiracy nut.

  4. Climate changes thanks to the sun action and not the man activity. Hannibal passed the Alps with the elephants, try to do that now.

  5. Sweet Jesus! Not another booze free day? Wasn’t the last election bad enough. Now they’re thinking of doing it all over again. Thailand really loves its tourists. They get shafted right from the moment they get into their taxi at the airport. Dual pricing. The expectation that they are going to stay in their designated accommodation, and never travel around the country for sightseeing. Stopped on their motorbikes for this and that while locals sail clean through. And the possibility their home/hotel/nightclub may be raided by immigration to round up the guests like they were in Colditz. Now they are telling them when they can drink and when they can’t. We have plenty of holidays birthdays and elections in the USA and the UK, but we don’t go around telling people on holiday what they can and can’t consume. Anyone coming here on vacation would be well advised to check on the expected non drinking days in the colander, because booze bans are not even considered by anyone coming here on vacation for the first time.

  6. 3:32 Tough bloody luck for foreign morons!
For the love of God, prospective foreign property and business purchasers MUST always exercise the requisite due diligence before seriously considering, much less agreeing, signing and paying a contract.

It is utterly imperative that a reputable and licenced Thai conveyancing lawyer review the contract, assess the viability of the proposal and ascertain the trustworthiness of the vendor. This local Thai lawyer must speak the foreign client’s native language fluently to ensure that there are no misunderstandings.

At the end of the day, the purchaser agreed to pay the money. So, in a sense, the purchaser will always need to accept some of the blame when matters take a turn for the worst.

  7. Totally agree with you, Timothy, about the property buyer. No reason to be buying for 15 million – especially at his age. He could have just rented and saved a fortune, he'll be dead long before he would have crossed the threshold for being better off on the deal.

  8. Tim the earth is now in a warming cycle but you don't need to worry it is no way near catastrophic for us. If you listen to real scientists they might set your mind at rest.Try Patrick Moore ex leader of Green Peace.

  9. I think the argument about climate change is wether or not people believe it’s caused by the use of fossil fuels. No matter what the reason people don’t want high prices and rationing, when super rich people who manipulated their wealth from all kinds of ways use exponentially more than average people

  10. Late tune in, sorry Tim, the past 2 days My Storm damaged home and roof from severe storms at my property. My new roof is finally. Being started after waiting 14 months . So I will watch later in the day for your news catch ups , ☺️🤗

  11. I think you need to make a distinction between owning a villa and buying a villa. Owning a villa is not that difficult or risky if structured smartly. Buying a villa on the other hand, especially ab "off-plan" villa, can be treacherous, I agree. I can't count how many projects here in Samui have gone tits up over the years with people losing their entire investments, with the developers often doing a runner. I think that's more what you're getting at.

  12. Hello Tim, thank you for the Thailand News. Yes I nearly got trapped buying something in Phuket. This real estate rep. Tried to sell me something, and I told him. I have to make sure if I can buy property in Thailand. . He told me no problem. Foreigners can buy property here. To my good luck. I saw a sign of a lawyers office. I approached the office and spoke to the lawyer, and he said you can buy a Condo but not a house and property. I am sorry to say Tim. I do not trust an Indian, this real estate guy was one. Never mind, I am looking forward to your News tomorrow of Tim Newton's Resort and Spa. Thank you.

  13. Why did you buy a hotel ?? If you applied your recommendation I hope you rent the place
There is honest promoter in Thailand ,the first condo I bought and got f,,,,,, we’ll it was a Canadian promoter in Bang Saray a fellow of my own country ,,,,but yes you have to be VERY VERY vigilant 😮and aware it is deferent rules and CULTURE

  14. great show, I like to think of the worlds temperatures fluctuating being from the removal of our tree and forest system, as well when all the new comers removed the ouyster and clam shelving which was extensive, mangrove trees to ease shipping and what not, that is when it started on the steep slippery slope of weather change, (from the years 1700-1900)

  15. Of corse the very big and rich oil industries are producing the myth "it is all natural, it is all normal, you can do nothing, keep going"

  16. Tim, accolades to your view that foreigners don't need to buy property in Thailand. Renting this much better.

  17. China weather report right now ? Again very hot. Last year Jiangsu, Hubei and Sichuan provinces reported temps arround 45°C degree, 800000 hectars land tried out, damage $7.6 billion.

  18. Tim i have been watching you daily since you started your channel and before ,i was one of your first subscribers and really enjoy your slant on all things thai but please dont start on with this leftist climate bullshit ,theres plenty of evidence against it but in my opinion this is the place to get all my thai news daily from your good self with your insights into thai life and culture not a debate on this stuff, keep up the good work hope all goes well with your new venture

  19. Carbon dioxide is the "life gas." All life on earth has carbon as a essential building block of organic molecules. In fact, "carbon chemistry" is also known as, "organic chemistry." All organic material can be traced back to carbon fixation, wherein CO2 is taken in by green plants and the chloroplasts in the plants cells convert non-organic CO2 into organic molecules. C02 levels today are far lees than they were millions of years ago. There have been times in the Earth's past, lasting tens of millions of years, where CO2 levels were 5X what we have today. Much of this carbon has been sequestered or "stored" in compacted plant material. (coal) The oceans have algae and diatoms that also convert CO2 into organics, and when these organisms die, they sink to the ocean floor and through pressure and heat, make the crude oil we use today. Plants grow best (and hence all life) when CO2 levels are above 800 parts per million. Today, we are at 420. Before humans burned coal and oil, this number was 280ppm. So humans, by digging and burning coal, and by pumping and burning oil, are returning the earth's atmosphere to a state that is far more favorable to life. See the leading college textbook, "Molecular Biology of the Cell," and see "Heaven and Earth" by Ian Pilmer. 100% of scientists and 100% of the news media in Germany all agreed in 1939.

  20. Despite climate change being one of main risk factors Thailand is facing and is experiencing on a daily basis, there's surprisingly little general awareness of the dangers and the urgency it poses. When people are confronted with this, the overwhelming attitude seems to be either denial or fatalism. Foreigners could run back to their (presumably colder) countries, but most Thai have nowhere to run.

At consistently 38°-40° and above degree summers, agricultural output tends to drop by more than a half, and working outside becomes nearly impossible – the food supply chain is at a fragile point now. And there are likely even hotter times ahead. Meanwhile the crop burning continues every March, April, May, dumping additional CO2.
