This week we are still living van life on the west coast of France. We find ourselves in a bit of a heat wave, with temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius! Travelling with pets and living in a van whilst on the road can be challenging, coupled with the issues wild camping here, we’re finding ourselves with van life problems we’ve not had to deal with before.
The solution however is exceptional, and to be honest, you just wouldn’t find this in the UK!

Great video. You guys have truely lucked out with the weather.Amazing for the French Atlantic coast. I'm currently visiting the Alicante region in Spain, have had lots of unseasanoable rain over last 10 days and probably 3 degrees below normal seasonable temperatures. A diving camera case is great for shots on the beach by waterfalls etc. added bonus you can do some underwater shots as well.
Canon do a few, some around ยฃ300 for a few of their compact cameras.
If you can operate your camera remotely you can do a home made housing, get a plastic tub with gasket lid large enough to fit camera and lens with hood use a filter and lens hood. Cut a hole in the plastic side large enough to fit the lens hood. As long as the lens does not rotate make up an o ring for the lens hood pressed either side of the hole. You have a small hole in the base to fit a tripod and clamp the case and camera. Will protect from 99% of sand but not a drop in the water where it submerges. It will float for a short while.
We have a dog like AJ . Aly is ball mad at times we have to tell her to go and play. Can't wait for the hats to come out. I have to get my son one. He loves is hats.

What a beautiful island..it woukd sadly be ruined in the UK, which is a great pity. Maybe take the camara to a local garage and ask to use their airline ,to blow that sand out? Have fun in the sun, regards Mick

Glad to see you wearing long sleeves to avoid sun burn. Watch out for legs. There is cool UV clothing you can buy. Have you ever considered a Tarp on Poles to place above the van for share? Would that work? Surely other campers have same problem????
P.S. 2XL would only fit on my arm – haha. Pity. You should have competition for photo in most amazing place with merch on!!!
That campsite looked amazing, what a great pool. I'm with you, you've got to love a pool and the water was so sparkly. Poor AJ losing his of lead privileges ๐, sorry about the camera Lou, it did sound pretty grim though. Thanks for mentioning about how the French are with their dogs, it's good to know as I have the same issues with Bryn. Very high prey drive, will chase anything including geese at the moment ๐คฆ and dog reactive especially on the lead, all very challenging. Lovely to see Joannie being disreputable, you go girl ๐ . Loving your vlogs. My dog is like AJ easily distracted so on his lead most of the time. Joanie starting to get a fan base, your tans are looking good. I bought a waterproof compact for days on the beach lost a good Pentax to sand and sea damage. Hope it's not too expensive to sort out.
