  1. It is actually fantastic value for money. You get proper meals served to you which are included in the ticket, in a comfortable train for long distances and convenient times.

That average monthly income figure is misleading as extremes skew the average. India has a big lower middle and middle class which can afford these trains.

It is certainly better than flights, which do not give even half a good service as this for the prices of their fares.

  2. I think switching to voiceover has revolutionised the last couple of videos. It makes them more engaging, it feels as though i'm actually with you for the ride and to be honest makes me want to watch your videos more as without sound they are a bit…boring (if i'm honest). I've gone from maybe watching your videos to now being sure i'll watch each new release! Keep up the good work mate!

  3. For a railway network that carries over 7billion people, it has been in the deepest slumber for so many decades. I wonder why? VB trains are much needed upgrade and a great alternative to those who can afford it and there are plenty. But IR still has a long way to go to catch up with the rest of the world. It also presents a massive opportunity to develop from tracks to stations and trains. Even its logo which is stuck in a time warp with a steam engine, needs a refresh!

  4. As I watch this video? there has been a three-train collision in India with over 200 people killed. I see their railway system, generally, as fairly dangerous. This train does look dated and a bit tired already for a 5 year old unit. Maybe building semi-high speed and high-speed trains is definitely a learning curve for Indian railways. It's a great video, by the way. Thank you for this upload.😊

  5. This one was the first rake which was lauched 3 yrs back.. now the recent 16 rakes are brand new .. once the order is completed or partially finished then a new rake will replace this one … confirmed by railways

  6. The VB Exp is great but the deployment of these trains without upgrading the tracks has been a huge problem.

Local trains and many other mail trains are stopped to make way for it. The "Shatabdi" Trains can do the same/similar job at 130/160kmph as well.

Also for VB you have to pay so much more just to save 20/30mins vs Shatabdi trains. That's just exploiting the common population.

  7. Loved the video. The major issue with Indian Railways is that it must cater to both a new emerging demographic of indians who are rising in both personal economy and purchasing power, and to the economically weaker sections of society to whom trains like these are dream journeys. So to strike the right balance there is an undertaking 76 years in the making with no end in sight.

But this VB trainset and the new Dedicated Freight Corridors are proving to be much needed catalysts towards infrastructural upgrades and we’re hoping that atleast by the end of the decade, india would have a foot in the door of high(er) speed railway transportation..

  8. So spacious inside, very airy. Great value to o, you'd struggle to just get that meal for the ticket price in the UK.

Shame about the condition though. Not a fan of all the advertising either. And thought of doing such a long journey in an 800 seat made my buttocks cry

  9. It's a good train, but India should Invest FIRST in improvement of the Railways and safety ! otherwise the trains can't go at the fastest speed becuase railways in bad condition !

  10. Good stuff. Been Following your Channel for a while now, and enjoy the content very much. I've noticed a steady improvement in quality – the voiceovers are taking it to another level IMO. Well done and thanks.
