It’s been awhile since I’ve made an airplane video, so what better way to make up for the past 5 months than with an international transatlantic flight from the west coast! Back in November of 2021, I flew aboard Lufthansa’s B747-8 from San Francisco, California to Frankfurt, Germany in Economy which turned out to be a really nice experience…helped immensely by the lack of two passengers next to me. Actually got to have some real sleep on a plane for once and I for the most part enjoyed the food and drinks offered onboard as well. I’m hoping to upload more flight videos again here soon, but hope you enjoy this video!

  1. LOOL. You call that good legroom? I hate brownies. The salad is a joke. Kit Kat is nice. I hate granola bars. Frankfurt Airport is a mess for connections. At least the cheese and the pasta looks nice. LOL it was comfortable because you had 3 seats!! Try it with 2 people next to you.

  2. I’ve always been thinking about how I want to fly on a Lufthansa 747 to Frankfurt. I really want to do it later this decade and fly from O’hare, it’d be less time of course which is all I need. I am visiting Chicago and went on a short United Express flight from there to South Bend, IN on a CRJ 200. I was supposed to do it back in December until it could no longer happen so I’m glad I finally made it up. I did that on Tuesday this week and it went very well. A week from today I’m flying back home to Chattanooga also on United Express but it should be on an E175. They started flying those aircraft types between those airports last month.

  3. Flying out of the Bay Area on a clear day is stunning! I did not know that Lufthansa flew the 747 during the pandemic. Most airlines seemed to store their 747s and A380s due to low passenger counts.

  4. I took a 747-400 of Lufthansa in 2017. Even though that variant is older it somehow had much more updated screens than what you got on this plane. But it’s nice to hear you tried a 747 before they disappear!

  5. Great video, I enjoyed it! The cinematics and everything was very immersive. I'm glad you shared your experience of Luftyjet's (nickname I call for Lufthansa) Economy Class experience to us even if it's over 2 years ago. As a person who has last flown on the airline over a decade ago, it's really nice to see that they have kept it consistent especially during the pandemic. Now that we're in post-pandemic, if I was to fly on Luftyjet again I wouldn't be expecting the exact same experience you had with them.

  6. Crazy how this video was still in 2021 fast forward to today transatlantic travel a record no masks no vaccine requirements and no restrictions at almost every single country now!!!

  7. Man im just glad your back making flight videos again. Saw your video the other week explaining where you had gone and I totally get this not being a priority with so much else going on. Still happy you're back!!!
