    ROBBED in Lanzarote



    Join us this week as we take a vacation to Lanzarote where we were robbed within 10 minutes of landing. We also visit Lanzarote’s biggest tourist attraction at Timanfaya National Park where there is miles of volcanos with one of them still active.

      This rental car fiasco is all feeling eerily familiar – we went through a similar deal outside Heathrow ! Went to pickup the car and was told all sorts of different info (including learning the outlay was way more than expected or agreed) – rental cars can definitely be a bit of a minefield !! Really enjoying your videos though !! Safe travels

      Was lovely to see the volcano – brought back memories of when we went and had the meal from the “Volcan grill’ I think they called it and the water spout is great isn’t it. Dramatic scenery.

      We always use Cabrera Medina in Lanzarote, no excess, reasonable (prices have gone up since Brexit/COVID) never any problems, no extras – hired a car with them in December for 12 nights (hired a car 4 or 5 times through them).

      This was fabulous what a unique place. I travel across country from Ohio to California and we stopped at a place with lava rock but nothing like this. Great video!

      You have to pay the £1400 charge on your credit card because you didn’t pay the full price for insurance, you get this back as it’s only charged if the car is damaged. I’ve had that with big car hire names as well & think that it’s standard across the board tbh. Always take a video walk around of the car you hire to prove any damage on it etc.

      Goldcar key n go is good if available at the airport normally double or treble their normal price but fully comp, no quibbles and still a fraction of the price of the big companies paid £145 vs £63 but only £100 blocked in case you don't refuel but refunded immediately on return. Closest the big boys could do was £390, hope it helps someone, enjoy your holiday anyway x

      Hi, we've been going to Lanzarote for years spent February there this year, once bitten by Goldcar on our first trip,, never again, Autorisen every time, 200 euros for the month this year, no access just return the car with the same amount of fuel that's in it when you pick it up, We had a blow out this year, they just exchanged the car, no messing.

      Great to see you off on another adventure abroad. It’s a shame you’ve had that hassle with the car hire. Not the best start to your holiday. I hope you have a great time. I’ve been to Tenerife , but never Lanzarote. We went for a trip to the volcanoes and it was fascinating.I believe Tenerife pretty similar though. I’m off to Cyprus for a ten day holiday, in less than a month. Never been there before, but people we know have told us it’s lovely. Looking forward to your next vlog guys.😎✋

      Hi just want to say we both enjoy seeing you all as a family you all going to Lanzarote brought back many happy memories me and my husband Vince last was there 34 years ago when our daughters Anneka was four and our youngest daughter Emma was two it was so lovely to see you all enjoying your trip and a Welsh family as well enjoy going to Wales for holidays have been going there since I was seventeen and I am nearly 62 years ago happy times enjoy every moment with your lovely family and continue being a fantastic success thanks Kim Lorraine Ayres

      What a beautiful villa lots of room nice pool lots of storage and what a view so what happened to the motorhome now or do you prefer to fly instead of driving there ,you car rental was a bit of a joke but what can you do you are there and you want a car think they are taking the piss don’t you ,is that the island that was coved in ash and larva last year I just can’t remember witch one it was I know a lot of people lost their homes ,we’ll enjoy you trip till next time take care keep safe John ,🌹🇬🇧👍👀😆🙏🍓🤭🫣😊🤔😓😊
