If your dream is to go on an onsen trip in Japan, this Japanese ryokan is perfect. There is a private hot spring bath in the guestroom.

  1. I always cry a little when you don't eat your umeboshi, STJ. I didn't like umeboshi the first time I tried them but it was quite big and all of the salt overwhelmed me. I tried a smaller one some time later and I fell in love with that salty sour flavour. I now buy a large container whenever I can get them in Australia.

  2. That room is meant to be shared with someone no doubts on that it is so well appointed. Great service to drive you to the station … unbelievable. Your fares seemed quite reasonable this time I thought. Something we would all like to experience for sure. Not envious though as you have worked hard to be able to enjoy a little pampering. Beautiful big meals and so nicely prepared and served. Definitely one of your best excursions. Thanks for sharing. Bushyboy Oz.

  3. That room was incredible and of course the food looked amazing and you didn't disappoint. You are so lucky with Japanese accommodation of all types when so much is provided cuts down on the luggage😅 Big Thank You 😊 again ❤- The English Golden Oldie

  4. Why, when I watch one of your video, I really want to travel to Japan and eat there ? Ah yes, maybe because you are a great tour guide.. Seriousely, your vids should be used by tourism office, you give people need to visit your wonderful country.
I'm planning to come this winter thanks of your channel

  5. It's funny how often the rice is the highlight of your meal. This sentiment is common in America too: sometimes the bread is the best part of the meal!
Thanks for another wonderful travel experience 👍

  6. Only on your videos would the phrase 'High Function Toilet' be understandable – the tension was unbearable before the lid was eventually raised. I never realised such humour could come from such simple translated captions.

  7. That was a beautiful experience and one, I would absolutely LOVE to try out for myself. Such a relaxing and peaceful stay. And the food must have been delicious!!! When and if I get the chance to try this, I would do it in a heartbeat!!!

  8. My husband & I took a riverboat ferry today. Thanks to you, i waved at everyone who waved at us. Before, i was too inhibited to do so, so thank you Solo-san. Much love ❤❤❤

I cant believe a ferry employee drove you, because you didn't pack an umbtella. That's such an incredible kindness!

  9. Oh this is what single people can do with no responsibilities for a spouse or kids… I think I would just stay in the Onsen & never come out… I pray young man you realize how blessed you are by our God.. stay safe😊

  10. Curious…I used google translate thru my phone's cam to read the card 10:29 If i put my phone vertical I get one message, if I put it horizontal it says something different. Same kind of message (it remains a welcoming message) but….different translations…..

  11. Put beef in a sealed plastic pouch and put that in 41C water, and it will cook to medium in a few hours. A tender cut will take an hour or two, a tough one a day or more.

I think that beef cooked that way should be offered to guests. Maybe give it a quick sear after cooking?

I might eat the cod roe first!

  12. What a beautiful ryokan! (105.8F is a little too hot for me though; I prefer a wimpy 102 or 103) The presentation of food, in differently shaped, colored, and decorated plates and bowls always charms me. How kind of one of the ryokan staff to drive you to the train station – kudos to that person!

  13. Very very similar to our stay at Asaya In Kinugawa. Beautiful onsen ryokan. Was the most relaxing two days of my life and of our trip in April and an experience I would highly recommend
