We hiked our last kilometers in Albania in the Epirus region. With our guest Clémence, we started from Ksamil, near Saranda and planned to reach the border with Greece through the small mountainous paths of the Epirus. Nothing went as planned, we got stopped several time by the police and had to find another way to the next country.
In Greece, we visited Ioannina and reached the Epirus Trail from Metsovo. Obviously, not many people hike in this part of the Greece and the trails were… challenging!
We followed the Pindus mountain range until we reached Karpenisi. From there, we climbed on the Vardoussia mountains, visited beautiful little villages before climbing Mount Giona and going down to the archeological city of Delfi.
