The long journey is now over and it was longer than we thought: from Bangkok to Abu Dhabi, UAE to Dublin, Ireland to Lisbon, Portugal, to Fort Lauderdale, FL in the US, to Ayampe, Ecuador, to Fort Lauderdale, FL in the US again to New York (Long Beach and JFK Airport), to Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris, France back to Lisbon, Portugal, to Heathrow Airport in London to Hong Kong and finally back home to Thailand. Whew…I’m tired just thinking about the trip.

Glad you made it back safe and sorry for missing the stream. I turned on the notification..I don't know? Also I'm 12 hours behind now that I'm back in the states. haha
Yes, it is surprising how cheap groceries are in Europe, especially what you get for the money. I like the suprermarkets in Germany. Especially all the discounted stuff. Real discounts of 30% up. Not like 1 Baht discount in Thai Big C. Big Cucumber for 50 cent, 1 KG Tomatoes 1€, 5KG Potatoes 2,50€, 250g Butter 1,50€. That´s right now, after inflation went down a little. And it´s all good stuff. But trust me, all the other stuff counts up pretty badly. Transportation, Insurances, taxes, housing is just insane. Not as bad as in the US. But still insane. With a family of 4, you need like 2500-3000€ income just to live. Welfare for a 3 ppl household is 2000€. And that is a poor life. And then you have all the african rocket scientists enriching city centers and train stations in the millions. And on top you get really shitty weather in Ireland. Months over Months without sun. I wouldn´t even think about moving to any northern European country as an expat.
Happy to have you back Scott! In being selfish since I missed your frequent livestreams since you been away but hope you enjoy homelife after your adventures!
Healthcare, weather (not just cold, rain, clouds and wind, get ready for 3 months of darkness starting around October) and services/infrastructures in Ireland are terrible, and to find a decent place to live is just mission impossible or you have to spend tons of money, I lived there for 10 years, I know what I am talking about.
Stay in Thailand, man.
