LAND OF SURPRISES and the FIRST CHRISTIANS

Join me as we travel across Armenia to a place called Khor Virap and delve into the culture and the history of this first Christian nation.

We visit the dungeon where Gregory the Illuminator was held for 13 years and come as close as possible to the Armenian Mount Ararat.

Once again we feast on some amazing Armenian foods and dink amazing white wine for the Armenian wine region.

Finally we make our way to an amazing canyon and visit a church of Noravank that dates from the 13th century and get to hear Marjane Tenere sing us a lovely song.

If you enjoy adventure videos from the former Soviet Union and Central & Eastern Europe, then grab your vodka, some zakuski and join me as we travel across Armenia and delve into this country’s History, Culture and amazing cuisine.

  1. Finally, I've been waiting for what seems like weeks for a video I'm soo hooked to these videos. Beautiful content. Keep it up especially the soviet videos I really enjoy them. Keep it up.

  2. Christianity was brought to Armenia by the Romans, Gregory the Illuminator lived in Rome and together with the Roman legions returned to Armenia and within the framework of the policy of Rome made Armenia Christian, the first christians were jewish and aramean people

  3. Before Christianity ✝️ in Armenia 🇦🇲, most of the people were Zoroastrians. In fact many places in Armenia have Zoroastrian origin names.

  4. Another excellent and wonderful video! Your energy is fantastic, Justin. Been really enjoying your content since Georgia when I first got introduced to you. Noravank and the surrounding scene seems so breathe-taking. I know so many people who will be visiting Armenia this summer and I’ve sent them your videos! Can’t wait ‘til the next one. Cheers.

  5. you need more subscribers man! I think the day will come when one video pops off and they all follow. I would sign up if you did a group travel for next year but you need to release that language course 1st as i'd like to learn at least a few phrases in the local language so dont come across as the uncultured english swine that i am lol.
