    11 Hours in the Most Expensive Seat on Japan’s Cheapest Airline



    Is it possible to pay just $1,000 to fly roundtrip to Tokyo in a lie-flat seat? Yes, but there’s a catch! ZipAir is a brand-new airline that is a low-cost carrier out of Japan. They offer a product called the ZIP Full-Flat Seat, which gives you many of the comforts of business class at a low, low price. But is ZipAir business class? Not quite! There’s a huge mistake you need to know about “ZipAir business class”, otherwise you could have a terrible time on this flight. I’ll show you how to avoid that mistake, and I’ll bring you along as our family flies from Los Angeles to Tokyo and back on ZipAir Full Flat!       Thank you so much for sharing this! Never heard of this airline, but I think I like this, except for the lack of an actual window-shade. That said, prices seem quite reasonable, and I'm definitely adding ZIPAir to our list of airlines to try, so long as we pre-book meals and amenities.

      I am 6'6" and over 300 pounds. I fly Business Class as a practice simply for more legroom, shoulder and hip room.

      I don't necessarily need "fold flat". I can't use them anyway since I'm too tall.

      The nicer presentation of food with glass and metal is nice, but I could go without it – save weight for the plane.

      The problem is that Business is expensive and economy is HELL. They stuff people into economy and they have issues.

      If they simply gave the entire flight more space, they wouldn't need the added mass of the business class pods. You'd have less passengers total, but it would also cost less to operate the plane.

      I personally prefer the A380 and A350. The 777x and 777 are preffered in the middle east due to the warm climates which kill lift for planes taking off. These are large, expensive jets to operate and they barely break even.

      THANK YOU for pointing out the TERRIBLE IDEA of the shades on the new Boeing planes. My trip to Bora Bora will be on a 787 and I'm not excited at all. Their business class is 2x2x2. I prefer the A380's 1x2x1.

      Hey TopFlight. You are right. Never heard of Zipair. Budget airline with a business class. Cool 😎. Everything a la carte. And you inflate your own neck support. Omg. That cheese ravioli looked terrible. I thought the 3 green areas was mold but guess it was basil 🌿🤷🏻‍♀️? And lacks presentation. Oh well. You made the rest of it. Sorry about the flood. At least Serge met up with you Sean & Ella after handling that catastrophe. That’s for sharing and see you next video.

      Ok this video was so informative. I’d never heard of this airline but I’d totally fly them to Japan or Hawaii. And I feel like they stripped away the things that sometimes aren’t worth the extra money…mediocre meals, amenity kits and pjs I’ll never use again etc. Good to know to about the windows. I’d definitely bring an eye mask on board but all that sun isn’t good for the skin either. Anywho really liked this video!

First off, Carmen you are too funny with the drum roll with your "FAN FAVORITE"😆😆 and thank you for your transparency on being WIFI illiterate on the airplanes. You had me rollin'. I enjoyed myself watching this video! And I see where Ella gets her sense of humor from, YOU, with her bathroom tour and the "BIG POOP" handle on the wall…Waaay 2 funny!😆😆😆 I love the Sean and Ella segments. They always bring us the real with their commentary. Those two can sell ice to an Eskimo! When you got to the pricing of a ticket on this airline, I thought sure you were gonna say a ticket was $17.50/person🤣🤣 You get nothing but a ride. C'mon, until now, I've never heard of a BYO Bag lunch airline. Talk about Ala carte'😆But I'm so glad that you guys showcased this airline because those prices are really not bad at all considering it's round trip over seas!! Wanna shout out Serge for staying behind to handle that business! I'm so sorry that happened to you guys and I'm glad he made it to be with the family!! Well I've been waaay long winded, sorry!       Interesting to hear your report that a bottle of water and standard meal weren’t included. Other Zip Air vlogs I’ve seen have indicated these two items were part of their purchase. I’m considering them for my next Japan trip, so I’ll pay close attention. Girls gave cute descriptions.

      The Ambient noise makes it nearly impossible to sit through. I suggest you mic yourself and EQ out any the drone of the engines

      Vpn and wifi is usually a no go for me it rarely works and if you have an iPhone sometimes you have to go into settings and turn off “limit ip tracking” which sucks. Another thing I’ve had to do was turn on “low data mode” if the wifi was really bad.

      The dimmable windows have different grades of shade from light shade which you have to the completely BLACK shade which blocks out almost all light. You need to push the button several times instead of holding it down which might not work. ANA airlines have them and I can completely out the windows.
