Media India Group takes you to Udaipur to experience a unique touristic ride with the famous Marwari horses, one of the rare and loyal breeds of India. The word Marwari is being derived from the Marwar region of Rajasthan, including Udaipur, Jalor, Jodhpur and Rajasamand and some adjoining areas of Gujarat. MIG interviewed Virendra Singh Shaktawat from Princess Trails and his wife Ute Tonia from Germany, who are eager to develop this unique type of horses, declared on the verge of extinction by the government of India, which put a ban on their export. But experts have a different opinion and believe that they can breed some good Marwari horses, which can be then exported to European countries where horse keeping is a trend.
