In this video, I review the Copenhagen Card. The Copenhagen Card is a city pass that gives you entry and admission for over 80 attractions and tours in and around the city along with free public transportation. You can buy them in 24 hour increments and the adult card comes with 2 free kid cards to cover your children aged 3-11, so it can really bring down the cost of your trip if you use it right.

The Copenhagen Card is a worthwhile purchase for many tourists in Copenhagen, but it all depends on your interests and your travel style.
Is it right for you? I help you figure it out in this video as I try out the Copenhagen Card for myself, so I can show you if it’s right for you.

I be using a 24 hour Copenhagen Card and doing a side by side analysis of what I would spend without it compared to the cost of the card so you can see if it would actually save YOU money.

I track my time and activity along the way I’ll be dropping my tips as a local and break down all the practical information you should consider before you purchase.

  1. I used a 3 day GetYourGuide Krakow pass in May, did not know the booking thing, so a bit confusing. Planned every day to the max. Was a blast. And had 2 Free Walking Tour of Krakow around the city, (did them start of the week, so i did know the city better 🙂 ) , the "free" tours, we only had to give a tip. And ofc thanks for YOUR guide.

  2. Are you sure about your math here? You say you saved $67,30, but as gar as I can make out from the video, that's what you paid for the card!? So, shouldn't spending $143 make a saving of $75,70?

  3. Do the free cards for children 3-11 cover for both public transportation and attractions or just for transportation? Thank you!

  4. I highly recommend the Copenhagen Card. I have bought it on several holidays with my daughter. The visit to Tivoli is only one entrance. 😊

  5. I'm in the process of moving to Copenhagen to be with my Fiance and new job, and I just wanted to say you guys are awesome! I've been watching all of your videos over the past few months and they've been super helpful. Keep up the great work!!

  6. I'm kind of lazy traveler- I like to go with the flow, and to me the luxury of a vacation is not being scheduled and beholden to a clock. I think I bought the card for 1 or 2 days once and it was good for days when you want to pack a lot in. If travelling from the US, even if you're sleepy and jet lagged, it's more important to try to get your butt out of bed, get some strong coffee in you, and get moving because stuff tends to close a little earlier than what you're used to, and in the fall/winter you want to maximize daylight activities. And yes, they will "card" you on Metro and S-tog, so be prepared!

  7. You do this so well, Derek!
Some time you'll have to make one outside of Cph. 🤔
    – Helsingør & Kronborg Castle
    – Roskilde & Domkirken/Viking Museum
    – Hillerød & Frederiksborg Slot
    – Odense & H.C.Andersen Museum
    – Århus & Gammel By
: maybe a Viking Hall or two?
and some of all our bridges?
    hello from Hundested 🌸

  8. The cost of a ticket to The Danish Nationalmuseum is actually 120 danish kroner and not 72… At least based on my last visit and their website… 🙂 Other than that great video…

  9. I have just seen a film here, about the Danish "Soft D" (blød), which seems to be a special and only Danish thing, so I am sorry for you both, having to learn it as a new item! But remember that also small Danish children are able to learn it in a few years!

  10. That route through Copenhagen is so American. Here's an activity, then 2-3 minutes later, here's your next activity. This is pretty much speedrunning Copenhagen.

  11. I went to Copenhagen for 2 weeks this late spring and found that if you’re not doing many touristy things then the Copenhagen Card is definitely not worth it. You’re better off getting a City metro pass and doing your own thing.

  12. Thank you so much for this guide! It is so well done, and will be very helpful for my trip in October. P.S. Copenhagen is currently the top of my list for cities I would like to live in next year! I have only lived in cities here in the US, and it's time for a change. This channel has been so inspiring, helpful, and insightful!

  13. I have used it the last two times I was in Denmark. We hade the 3 days one and it was a lifesaver. Great we loved it and saw everything we wanted to see.❤️❤️

  14. Soon be staying in Copenhagen for 3 nights…the Copenhagen card, can I purchase for two people on one account or is the account for per person? (We're going as a couple) – another question I was looking at 96 hrs and plan to go on the train to the central station from the airport station at 14.00hr (Fri) – return back to the airport at 15.00hr (Mon) so not sure will 96 hours cover that time…or will we be pushed for time?
