Europe Trip Day 4
Date Filmed: September 19, 2022

Hello Happy Travelers!!

Welcome to our grand 10th anniversary trip! For the first time, we are traveling to Europe, and we are checking several bucket list items along the way! We are starting in Rome Italy, followed by a 9 night Mediterranean/Greek Isles Cruise, and finishing in France to visit Disneyland Paris!

Today we say arrivederci to Rome and buongiorno to Odyssey of the Seas! It is the day where we board our very first Mediterranean Cruise! We used the Royal Caribbean shuttle service from Rome to Civitavecchia Cruise Port! We discuss our experience with the transfer service, checking in, and sail away!

We hope this was helpful and fun for you! If you are interested in planing your own travels, we would love to assist you! As travel agents, our services are free to our clients, and we are here to help you with the planning and booking process! Please contact us via the travel agent information located below! 1. Wishing you both a Very Happy 10th Wedding Anniversary. Going to Europe and taking a Mediterranean Cruise is a great way to see some many different places. Happy and Safe Travels.

  2. When we went we stayed in the area we walked to the port and there was a bus right there just on the inside of the port that would take you to the terminal so we didn't have to walk. I would assume for people taking a taxi you could take that same bus. And it was free. Unless they don't run that bus anymore. What a good starts to your cruise 🙂

  3. Hello you two! I’m so excited to see all of your adventures! I noticed AK Adventures are in Rome going on a cruise but I know your home. Did you go at the same time?

  4. While I obviously love all the content in your videos. The clips where you just let the camera role on the scenery and/or ships will always be my favorite. Allows me to pretend I’m onboard!

  5. Love watching your first Mediterranean cruise! I just got home from my first yesterday. I was on the Jewel from Athens to Barcelona and it was a blast. Your videos of that ship were super helpful for me. Thanks for those. Glad you got to cruise the Med yourselves!

  6. I love that this was your first Med Cruise. My fourth cruise was a 12 night Med & Egypt on BoS. It ruined all Caribbean cruises for me and 25+ cruises later, we have returned to the Caribbean less than 3 times, but have cruised the rest of the world! Enjoy and Happy Anniversary🎉❤

  7. It's been a while since I've made a comment, but I love that we get to see you guys cruise overseas for the first time. It lets us live vicariously through your joys.

13:34 – Forgive my naval nerdiness. It's also been about a month since you posted this video, so forgive me if you have already looked this up, but just in case you haven't, that ship is the Italian Navy aircraft carrier "ITS Cavour (C 550)". The jet sitting on the deck is a AV-8B Harrier II, and the helicopter is a EH-101 Merlin (the Italian Nay's variant/version of the AgustaWestland AW101). This aircraft carrier is much different, and smaller , than the carriers that our U.S. Navy uses. Notice the take off ramp on this carrier. Modern U.S. Navy's carriers are flat-tops with an angled flight deck. U.S. Navy carriers uses catapults to launch their fixed-winged aircraft and arresting wires to stop-and-recover the aircraft when they land. This carrier was specifically designed for "short take-off and vertical landing" aircraft, like the Harrier jet you see here, and the F-35B Lightning II, which is why it's almost 300 feet shorter in length than U.S. Navy carriers. I could go on, but I think I've bored you enough, lol.

  8. Hello I love your videos! My husband and I booked this cruise for this summer, I called Royal Caribbean to ask about there ground transportation and they said they didn’t have a hotel they will pick us up from, only the airport. Did you guys book the ground transportation closer to the cruise or where can I find out the hotel that offers it? Thank you 😊

  9. We are doing the same cruise this coming October. Can you tell me how you booked the shuttle from Crown Plaza to the port please. Not sure who to call to book. I'm so excited and can't wait. 🙂

  10. Thanks for great video. Heading to Rome (from DFW) Thursday 5/4/2023. Odyssey also for 12 days to Holy land. 🎉
