  1. I live in Perth Australia and there is another train that travels from Perth to Sydney, stopping at Adelaide and the Blue Mountains. It is called the Indian Pacific. My friend wants to travel on that train and your video has helped me see why we should start booking tickets! Also I just saw they have single rooms!!! yay!

  2. My mother did this trip last year at 80. I insisted she go Platinum as in Gold you have to hover over the toilet to shower plus bunk beds for her and her friend? I don’t think so. 😂

  3. As an Australian boring – coz there ain’t nothing out there. Well done but there is a reason why people live mostly on the coast. I’ve always wanted to do this but I have always though this is overpriced and not as good quality as what you could get overseas. Being Australian I don’t mind the barren landscape- but I don’t think i would want to pay an arm and leg for it. A good 4 wheel drive would suffice up the middle. I just don’t think this experience would match what you would get in Europe. So I never heard them go wow love the food.

  4. Looks like parts of New Mexico or Arizona ……a bit far to go when almost all that is here can be found in the US… trains seem like a bit of a luxury Prison …..this one for three days! 😳 Claustrophobia ensues…..I’ll enjoy from the comfort of my recliner thank you 😁

  5. I travelled on the Indian Pacific from Perth to Sydney back in 2006. I was travelling in my own, in one of the cabins, with all meals included. IIRC I paid about £700GBP.
I bet it costs a lot more now!

  6. Your videos are lovely! Would it be possible to provide the price of your trip at the end of each video? Multiple currencies would be great!

  7. This couple is so positive, I cannot imagine. Show them a poop, they would say what a nice and gorgeous looking poop. Kudos guys!

  8. As an Aussie🇦🇺, thank you for an honest and entertaining review of The Ghan. We have travelled from Perth to Adelaide on The Indian Pacific and had a very similar type of trip. This wet our appetite to one day do Adel to Darwin on The Ghan (platinum for sure). Cheers to you and safe travels. 😊

  9. So you were the annoying couple who disrupt what has to be a small yet gourmet kitchen operating at sub-optimal conditions for fine dining, unlike a fully staffed and equipped a la carte restaurant, because you are hungry and can't wait another half hour to eat with the grown ups … (let me guess … filming is discouraged to maintain privacy for others not wanting to be on camera understandably … so you asked for "special treatment" early lunch) or you really were just hungry …
