Trakai is 28 kilometres west of Lithuania’s capital, Vilnius. Trakai is known for its castles, lakes and relaxed vibes, which makes it a perfect daytrip from Vilnius.
I imagine this place to be really busy in the summer so if you want to see what Trakai looks like without the crowd, this is a video for you!
As they say, never leave Lithuania without doing a day trip to Trakai!

————— About the Channel ————-
My name’s Ryan and welcome to my channel.
Instead of buying an expensive car or a Harley Davidson motorbike to get through my mid-life crisis, I started this channel instead 😂 As a new found hobby, I’m documenting my walks, hikes and travels with the hope that it encourages you – the audience – to explore the great outdoors and maybe give you some tips and ideas along the way.
I’m currently on a mission to visit all the 44 countries in Europe (as per the UN list).
I’m from the Philippines – in case you’re wondering about the accent 😊.

Such a beautiful location, well worth spending the 2 € to get there. The countryside looks very lush there.
Vilnius train station is due for regeneration. The central station entire area will be redone including the bus station and buildings around it. The famous designer Zaha Hadid won the project, so it will be really beautiful once everything is finished.
I was there for a half day on 18 June and I really love this Town a lot. My thai freinds (from Bangkok) and I took a tirp from Vilnius by bus then went along the big lake to Castle.. Great to see many wooden old houses that are bueatiful with gardens.Wonderful time for all of us. So I will visit Trakai again in Spring time next year. Maybe stay longer time in a summer cottage 🙂
Thank you for your video clip that remind me Trakai. Best Wishes from STOCKHOLM – SWEDEN
