There are more Louisiana Museums such as Biedenharn Museum and Gardens, North Louisiana Military Museum, National WWII Museum, Northeast Louisiana Children's Museum, Louisiana State Oil and Gas Museum, Sci-Port Science Center, Kentwood Museum, and Chennault Aviation and Military Museum.
Welcome back to Louisiana! We missed ya!
Another great video, thank you for making us feel like we were right there with you! I love wax museums, the more old school the better! ππ€©
Here in Iowa, there is a very nice Mississippi River Museum located in Dubuque. It highlights all the different sections of the Mississippi River, through aquariums, displays and exhibits. I found it so interesting how diverse the ecosystem of the River was depending on which section you were. If you haven't visited it, I think it would be worth your time! π if you make it up this way, there is also the University of Iowa Natural History Museum, not too far from Dubuque, in Iowa City. It is the second oldest museum west of the Mississippi and is home to the century old Laysan Island Cyclorama display.
So what happened to the Wax Monsters from the Doungen part of the Conti Wax Museum??

Wanted to tell Caretbagger that a theme park will open in Vinita Oklahoma in 2025 called The American Heartland Theme Park. You'll need to check it out when it opens.

Love your museum tours they are so great! Ok, my question: Did you do a U-Turn and head back Northwest to Tulsa since Casa Bonita Re-opened. I so hope so because with its history and how long it took to re-opened, I would do the carpetbagger boot scootin boogie and go!!! Keep up the great work!!

Speaking of civil war surgeries. Thereβs a story that my great great grandfather was in the union army in Shermanβs March and his foot got injured. They were going to amputate his foot but he pointed a gun at the doctor and refused to let him amputate the foot. He lived to old age with a lame foot, but a foot nonetheless! (Itβs lucky he didnβt get an infection honestly or I might not be here today!)
Jacob, I just watched an old video of Yours…You were at Paradise Gardens π€©ππππ it is an amazing place π is it still there and can You visit it again sometime?π€πΊπ Thank You for what You do ππ I think You are the best vlogger ever β£οΈπ₯π»
With all the Ca Ca and Poo Poo and urine on these boats from all those bodies ..The Captain and Crew were very Strong People .They nose hairs must have been curled ..I worked for the Morgue transporting bodies ..Many of times I jumped out of my van and puked
The Democrats Created the Kkkk " The Knights of The Kue Klux Klan .it bothers me that so many Black folk still support their ancestors Captors. That held them on the Plantation and fought a war to keep them on the Plantation π’ Yet they still vote for these people π’
Best video! β€π
Interesting to learn more about the history of what a "carpetbagger" is. If I remember, I think one of the bad guys used the term "carpetbagger" as an insult in the Jack Reacher show as well.
Yes I agree with you..!!!! this is a wonderful museum.. very interesting love it… XX
What an interesting museum. I love those vintage photographs. People were aghast when they saw Mathew Brady's battle scene photos. A new technology during the Civil War.
I enjoy your video Jacob and Jen -friendly and fun place they go.
Jacob I look up the word Mark Twain it is a word for measuring water-He was creative man and a good story teller.
I had no idea about this either, so happy to see the MusΓ©e Conti reborn!! Great find, and props to the Great River Road Museum!
I have been hoping the National Steinbeck Museum got a hold of the Steinbeckβs Spirit of Monterey Wax Museum figures and can similarly incorporate them.
